This helmet is not MIPS certified despite it being shown in the product pictures. I am returning and looking for a different helmet that is MIPS certified. It arrived with no sticker and nothing in the manual mentioning MIPS.

Thrilled with this helmet so far. The XS is a great fit on my 14 month old daughter whose head circumference was 46cm when we measured, and she seems super comfortable in it (despite never having worn anything like it and not tolerating hats or visors of any kind). The straps are very easy to adjust, and the dial at the back is great for perfecting the fit. I'm really happy with this purchase, and I feel confident knowing she's in a quality helmet. I was tempted to go with the Size Small since she'd have room to grow, but we plan to use the helmet extensively this summer, so a perfect fit now was important to me. ... show more

    • Fits Nicely! The little black plug on the back is the key!
Bought this helmet for our little guy. Read about the Lazer Bob and the Giro Me2 helmets. There were a couple of reviews about the attachment of the straps in the Giro and the Lazer Bob supposedly runs small. Googled helmets serveral times and found that Giro offered this helmet and it was recommend due to construction and adjustments that are similar to an adult helmet. I am an avid rider and was hoping to find something of comparable quality to my own helmet. We measured our little dudes head and found him to be at the top end of the XS and middle of the S. The small fits nicely but it is adjusted towards the small side of the range. The dial adjustment allowed the size to be quickly fitted before he lost his patience. The straps seemed way too long with there being no adjustment to even out both sides. So more research and the manual was no help. There is a black plug in the back that can be gently pried out to all the straps to slide through the back of the helmet and even the length. This made all the difference and the helmet fits excellent. I would recommend this helmet highly and when the little guy gets out of the trailer, we will be ordering the MIPS version. At the end, of all the fitting, a trip around in the trailer made our little dude squeal with joy! ... show more

I spent a good amount of time researching helmets for my baby and this was the winner. We absolutely LOVE this! Our daughter started wearing this one in a XS at around 8 months. Since January is chilly and her hair wasn’t very thick, we would have her wear a thin bamboo flight hat (we love the ones by Kate Quinn Organics) underneath. The first couple of weeks took some getting use to, both for her and us having to adjust and readjust to get it just right), but even in the first fitting she stopped fussing as soon as the bike started moving. ... show more
