  • One of the most comfortable gloves you will wear
At first glance, these gloves look like any other pair of bicycle gloves. They were tight and stiff to put on and I was left wondering if I ordered the correct size ( I did). The thing is that leather has to stretch and you have to remind yourself of that every time you put them on. After about 3 days of wearing them, the softness and fit come into play, a subtleness that you don't even realize after they are broken in. These are really comfortable gloves. I ordered 2 pairs for my trip across America and ended up using only one pair for my journey. I ride with butterfly handlebars and move my hands around while I ride. I also double wrap my handlebars. No problems with numbness noted. A very well made glove. The white color will get dirty but I wasn't riding to make a fashion statement, just something functional with a post nasal drip material. I washed them with my wool undergarments and let them dry whenever I took a 2 day break. They won't last forever but they lasted 3,566 miles across America! ... show more

  • Fit nicely, excellent padding, great gloves
Before buying these gloves, I was a bit worried about the sizing. Other reviewers said that these gloves tended to fit too small, despite following Giro's sizing guide. I measured my hands a few times and Giro's guide said that I should use large gloves. So, I took a chance with large, and they fit perfectly. They are a bit tight to get on, but not enough that it's inconvenient. The resulting fit was snug without being restrictive or tight. As for the ink bleeding through, I haven't had any issues with this. My hands get drenched with sweat on my longer rides, and after I take my gloves off there is no ink staining my hands. The only stuff on my hands tends to be a few pieces of the inside that may've rubbed off from the leather. The gloves are a bit of a struggle to get off, but I don't think it's difficult enough to warrant the complaints that other reviewers have mentioned. The removal slots on the fingers make it easier to take the gloves off, but I can see these slots ripping after a while. I also get a bit of hand numbness during my longer rides, so I wanted something to combat that. I haven't been having any issues with numbness or shoulder pain after buying these gloves, so they were well worth the investment. The padding is excellent and well-distributed. The gloves are nicely ventilated and I haven't experienced any issues with hot hands. These gloves are comfortable and high quality, and I think they're well worth the investment. I hope this helps some of you who may be on the fence about purchasing these gloves after having read some of the other reviews. No matter how many reviews you read, in the end you need to take a chance on a pair of gloves. I think these gloves are well worth the money and that you'll be pleased with the quality. Be sure to measure yourself properly and check what size gloves you need on Giro's site before purchasing. ... show more

  • Nice medium padded leather gloves
As others have said these run very very small. I wear a L/XL and got 2XL in these and they are tight but fit fine. I like snug gloves. I got red with white leather padding and the red bled some into the leather but I sweat a lot and it does not impact function. I'm a big guy and have put 575 road miles on these gloves and they seem to be holding their own. I am careful in putting them on and taking off so that helps. I can't comment on value as these are the first gloves I have purchased in 10 years.....had a stash of french gloves that finally gave out (20 pairs) and are no longer made...I did wind up buying 3 additional pairs of the giros after I got my first set. If they work why not? My seller was closing these out so I paid a lot less than full boat. That helped and I am thinging about buying a few more pairs... ... show more

  • Very well made gloves.
Giro makes some great gloves and not so great. These are one of the great ones. They are super soft and good looking. Run a bit small so I sized up but I find a few manufacturers gloves run small concerning the longevity I don’t know yet, time will tell. But for now definitely worth the money if you want a good pair of cycling gloves. ... show more

  • Runs tight, order a size up
I bought these to replace a pair of Giro Monaco gloves I use with my wheelchair. The primary difference seems to be the fabric pattern on the back has changed from the Monaco to the Monaco II, the pattern on the palm is identical. My older pair I've had forever and they've gotten quite worn. So I was surprised when I ordered the same size in the Monaco II that they felt snug. I decided they would probably stretch and continued to wear them. While they are comfortable, it's a little difficult to get them on and off. So far they seem durable but I've only had them a couple weeks. I ordered the red pair because I wanted to be able to look into a backpack and see them. ... show more

  • Nice but run small
I have small hands and wanted to replace my PI cycling gloves with a larger size to ease removal after long bike rides, especially in the humid weather. These Giro Monaco II Gel Men's Road Cycling Gloves are different. Most important is that size medium is close to a size small, so I gained very little from the purchase of new gloves except for a lower price. The two pull loops are on the back of the gloves rather than the palm side; it's still difficult to remove them quickly after a ride. The velcro closure when not engaged folds over and sticks to the back of the glove, which is a bit annoying when putting them on. They do seem constructed well, are nice colors (have yellow, red and midnight blue), and have been comfortable to wear. I will update after a few months. ... show more

  • Good glove, first Monaco was better
I bought these to replace a pair of Giro Monaco gloves (first model) only because I felt after some use they weren’t quite the correct size. I’m very happy with the heavier materials used in the earlier model, and, to me, they feel more robust and better built. I’m happy with the newer model but I think much lighter weight material was used and I have to use much more care when removing them. The stitching doesn’t seem as good. The newer model overall is a decent glove, but I don’t feel it has the same quality. ... show more
