After only a couple days it locks up in boot mode. Can't get it out of that even with hard reset. Looked online and couldn't figure out how to get it back up and running. Need to be a software person and know which websites to use. Not so easy to maintain.

Original review: Seems like an upgrade from the standard 601, with the acrylic and white PCB looking cool. Running 650/1150 1.4TH no problem on the stock PS. Edit: I wanted to add an update that the default firmware is not actually the open source version.. it looks like they made some modifications. It also did go offline for an hour and it made me lose some confidence. On their website, they are trying to get people to pay for a firmware service, which is simply not correct. Bitaxe is supposed to be an open source project. In retrospect I would not get this one again. Check out the PowerMiner Bitaxe instead.

Heltec Bitcoin Lottery Miner – NerdMiner V2 ES I’ve been running this NerdMiner V2 continuously as a low-power, hobby-level Bitcoin miner, and it does exactly what it claims. Setup was simple: I connected it to Wi-Fi, entered my Bitcoin address, and it started hashing right away. The built-in screen is clear and accurate, showing real-time hash rate and status without needing extra software. Build quality is solid for a small electronic device, and it runs cool, silent, and uses very little power, so I leave it plugged in 24/7 without concern. This is clearly a solo lottery miner, so I don’t expect to earn Bitcoin from it — the odds are extremely low — but it’s been a fun and educational way to understand how mining works. Pros: Very low power consumption Quiet, stable operation Clear on-device display Easy setup Cons: Not practical for earning Bitcoin Extremely low hash rate Overall, I’m happy with it as a novelty and learning device, not as an income-producing miner.

Could never get the miner to configure to my wifi. And there were no instructions to make sure I was doing things correctly. Even with the help of YouTube university I could not get it to work. So I returned it.

This thing is fire!!!! So easy to set up and use. NOTE: If you try to join the network to configure it and you can't join, keep trying. Sometimes it takes a few. Setup is simple. You need your Bitcoin receive address and you need to know your UTC time zone offset. Plug in, scan QR code that shows up. It will ask you to join a network and then load the configuration screen. Click on Join Network and select your home 2.4ghz network. Add in your bitcoin address in primary and back up and then save. It's already configured for the pool. Boom, you're done. Mess up configuration? There's two little buttons on the back. Hold the inside one for a few seconds with it on and your back in business.
