Girl Flower Power is an organic, living soil, amendment designed for flowering plants to increase flavor and yields. Girl Flower Power contains the nutrients, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and microbes specifically adept at converting phosphorus, potassium and other key nutrients required for flowering plants. I was able to use this on some of the plants in my garden. Because of the cost I kept it just to the grow boxes that need a little more help. One thing is once you open the bag it is smelly. This is to be expected but I ended up putting it into a different container because there wasn't a good way to control in it the packaging it was in. Not a deal breaker but just should be noted. I followed the instructions to make the tea that you can put on your plants and did that every few weeks for the first 8 weeks. Things are growing well in containers and grow boxes, probably better than in previous years. I like how well it seems to be working and would use it with more regularity if it didn't cost so much. Overall a good fertilizer. Not clear on the packaging but I believe it is bat guano and that is some of the best stuff out there.

Used this product as topdressing. Plants seemed to like it right away. Seems like nutrients go into solution well. Did not burn plants. Does have a little odor which is normal with this type of soil amendment. Will use on all special crops that need living soils. Great product.

Let me start off by saying this isn't intended for consumers who normally use fertilizers such as Miracle Grow. This is a fairly specialized, extremely high-end fertilizer that is best used by gardeners who are looking for specific ingredients or results. If you haven't already, please consult the website for details (see the picture of the bag to find the website) If you are looking to increase the flower output of your plants or have issues with phosphorus that's not being adequately utilized, then give this a shot. This fertilizer is not focused on supplying the typical N-P-K, this is focused on micronutrients, vitamins, amino acids, and microbes necessary to maximize output. IF you already have all the basic ingredients for a flowering plant to thrive but just aren't seeing maximum output then you may need this. If you are looking for the N-P-K label, then you are looking for a general fertilizer and this probably isn't intended for you. Fantastic product when used as intended!!!!

My plants loved it! The picture on the left was taken on March 30. The picture on the right was taken today, April 12th. I’ve got wonderful and healthy growth on my plants. I’d also like to address the smell as I’ve seen other mention it in their review. If you use Black Cow or anything like it, this stuff is a tad stronger than that. It’s not going to burn your nose hairs off and make your eyes water. It’s fine! I applied as a top dressing per the instructions and then watered. The smell was completely gone by morning. I worried after reading reviews because my garden is about 6ft from neighbors bedroom window. However, there was nothing to worry about. I also used it on a potatoes plant that was looking pretty pathetic. I have no before pictures, but trust me when I say that I didn’t have any hope for actually harvesting the potatoes. I did take a photo of them today. It’s been a complete turnaround. The plants all look much healthier and are growing again! I’ll continue to use this.

It's difficult to rate the efficacy of products like this one, especially when the gardening season where I am is just really starting to get going. So my review will be in regards to my experience with the product so far and I will update my review later in the season. I am a home gardener in US zone 6b. I use raised beds and the square foot gardening method. I would not label myself as an exclusively organic gardener, but I do my best to avoid synthetic chemicals so as to build healthy soil structure and build a balanced environment. My focus has been on boosting my garden's microbiome in order to boost plant health and combat pests. When I opened the bag of Girl Flower Power that I received, it did indeed have mold growing in it as they said it might. It also smelled (and still smells) very strongly of decaying matter, very much like compost that is not fully finished. I amended my beds with this just before I began planting, raking it into the top couple inches of soil. There is not a lot of this fertilizer, so I tried to use it sparingly and focus on beds or containers that needed the most 'refreshing'. So far it is difficult to tell if it has had any impact, though my potatoes do look happier than usual this year. My strawberries also have quite a few more blooms than they did last year. I find the cost of this product to be prohibitively expensive, as so many gardening products have become. Almost $50 for only 5 pounds of this and they recommend a teaspoon or two PER PLANT every couple of weeks. Perhaps this is good for your prize-winning roses, but it is not ideal for my garden. I will be trying it on my roses next now that I think of it. They also suggest making a tea out of it, which is on my todo list. I think it will go farther that way and work better. I must say, I was skeptical that this would be worth the price, but it is absolutely amazing stuff! I filled a very large raised garden bed using the hugelkulture method, and was hoping it would quickly create some soil life in my newly purchased garden soil, which is a very cheap blend. I added a few (maybe 5 or 6) worms into the soil to help aid this mixture, and within 4 days of planting, I had healthy, thriving sprouts popping up everywhere! I used about half the bag for this enormous garden bed, mixed lightly into the soil mix, and then lightly sprinkled on the soil surface. I am very impressed with how quickly this soil was able to start producing healthy growth! For anyone unfamiliar with hugelkulture, you often need to let the bed settle in a little bit and it’s recommended that you grow a small cover crop, then chop and drop. This allowed me to skip that entire phase and get right to growing!
