The lights being reviewed here are the ones at ground level. These lights have been working well out of the box. They look nice, are just bright enough to accent the area. At about $36 for 8, the price is slightly up there, but seem to be worth it, especially for the quantity. Easy to install. They do not exactly feel cheap, but I do think they feel like they may be slightly fragile. So, treat with care. This is typical for this style of light in my opinion. That said, they don't feel super cheap like, let's say, the dollar store ones for example. Like all of them it seems, don't trip on them or anything. Can probably only avoid this if you go metal it seems. I have had good luck so far with the solar lights. These are showing all the signs of falling into the same boat. They seem decent enough for me to be optimistic about them. I like them, for what they are, for the price, I am happy. Decent quality and quantity. They work... Recommended! Tip: I keep a few extra batteries on hand, just in case. In my experience, the battery may die, but the lights themselves may still work just fine. But, so far, so good. ... show more

The solar pathway lights arrived with all necessary components. There were no defects. The plastic was smooth, the lenses were clear and not scratched and each top was in its own plastic bag nestled in foam. Solar panels had the obligatory removable film. There's a use and care pamphlet included. Assembly was easy. The pointy bit that goes in the ground was inside the stake. Remove that, insert the top on one end and the pointy bit on the other. Give the cap a 1/4 turn, remove and flip the switch to ON. Replace the top. Simple. They are nicely bright and I like the filament. It's long, probably 2" or so, not a single-point LED. It gives more light and better coverage. It also looks nicer and gives that 'Edison bulb' impression. I charged mine on a sunny windowsill for a few hours before I set them out. They stayed lit for hours until I went to sleep so I can see them lasting well into the night. The color is a warm white. They're attractive with a classic design and the bulb gives a nice effect. The lenses aren't faceted so the look is more traditional. For an all-plastic solar light these really look comparable to a higher-priced item. The only minor quibble I have is while the fit for the top part into the main stem is quite snug, the pointy bit fit is fairly loose so if you decide to relocate them be sure to grasp that part when removing from the ground or it will be left behind. Also, if someone is prone to not paying attention while weeding they'd be easy to dislodge at that connection if you contacted it the wrong way (OK, I'm a distracted klutz, not the light's fault). I will take them out and wrap the connection end of the pointy bit with some thread tape to make the connection tighter because I know my weaknesses but again, not the light's fault so it's still very much worth five stars. The effect at night was very nice. These are brighter than other landscape lighting I have and we're happy to have them. I've had other products from this brand and have had good experiences with those products as well. ... show more

This review is for a set of 8 outdoor solar lights from GIGALUMI. This is more of a compact set of solar lights. They are made entirely of plastic which may be a surprise to some as there are many out there that are made with a combination of metal and plastic. But, the benefits to the plastic is that they are lighter and easier to place into soil. Sometimes, the metal ones can be a bit heavier and more difficult. Despite being all plastic, the build quality is not bad and feels good. Once you remove the spike from inside the pole, it will be at its full size of around 16 inches from the top of the solar panel to the point. Just remember to slide open the top of the light and move the switch from off to on to get it light up. This is shorter than most. These lights should be more for decorative use than for creating a bright walk path at night. This is not to say that they are not bright for their size. The illumination on here is better than what you would expect. It is a warm white which is our favorite. We like them for adding light in our planters and they do this very well. It has a flat and clear Edison style light bulb and not the glass tubes that many other solar lights use. The life on the light did not last all night but around 6 hours and for its size that is above average. They did make a through a couple rainstorms so far without any ill effects. I think if you are looking for a value set of 8 solar lights for an area that you want to promote in your yard this could be a good set for you. Just remember that with it being all plastic, the lifespan of these lights will probably not be more than a few years. ... show more

I am SO obsessed with these outside lights. They are so bright and the perfect addition to my yard! They were easy to ensemble. The steak is inside of the light post once they arrive. I made the mistake of putting them in the ground before switching the bottoms to the side with the steak that goes in the ground. I am located in northeast Ohio where we don’t get much sun. These still shine so bright at night after not getting a bunch of sun to charge them up. I cannot recommend these enough, they are one of my favorite things in my yard! ... show more
