  • A very solid GPU in 2023 (upgraded from GTX 1080Ti, 2x the performance)
Over the years I've used many cards since I started my PC gaming journy in 2014 (GTX 750Ti -> R9 290 -> GTX 980Ti -> GTX 1080Ti - > RX 7900XT). This card is a monster and a return to owning and using an AMD GPU. With Nvidia's focus turning to AI it's a great time to be back. While the 7900XT is a cut-down 7900XTX I don't feel as if I've lost much based on benchmarks I've seen, and comparing to the GPU I upgraded from (GTX 1080Ti) the 7900XT is usually at least twice as fast in rasterized performance. While not as great at Raytracing as modern Nvidia cards the AMD RX 7900XT still can do it, and honestly do raytracing well enough if you keep your expectations in check (expect 30 or 60fps for Raytracing at 1440p not a 165 like my monitor can display). Top all this great perfomance off with the fact AMD has vastly improved their drivers and RADEON software in Windows since my days with the R9 290 (it was bad back then). These days it's easy to navigate and usually feels responsive enough (and easily access by hitting alt+R at any time including in a game). The only sticking point for me was the price, at 900 USD (July 2023) it was a bit of a pill to swallow. It's the most powerful GPU I've owned and the most expensive which is just a trend of the industry I suppose. With some tweaks it even runs Baldur's Gate 3 at 5120x1440 60fps with AMD Eyefinity (one image, two monitors in this case). All and all a very solid card if you're looking to light your wallet on fire (metaphorically) and don't want to give Nvidia your money anymore. ... show more

  • The card is good QA was bad; also fans noisy at 100%
The media could not be loaded. The card I received had a damaged fan that sounded like a lawn mower when at higher rpms (even with all fixed fans GPU fans are still loud). I had to RMA the card (which isn’t a fun experience when you buy a brand new card to game with get it then have to send it away for 2 weeks for repair). The RMA process was easy but not very transparent. They never told me what was wrong with the card or what they did I to fix it no correspondance whatsoever. Side note, I had to pay for shipping on the RMA, cost 40$ish for ups ground. Also I sent the card with the pcie protector on and other port protectors in and was sent the card back without any port protectors which is annoying. Just a lot of annoyances overall. ... show more

  • Literally same fps and performance, with less compatibility as 7700xt
I didn't bother. Tbh there is no difference between a rx 6950xt at 4k and a 7600xt 16gb.. especially with a simple 6 to 12 core am5 cpu. RDNA3 and RDNA2 are baisically the same in real world performance. And nobody really games on there tv so a 1440p display and upscale from 1080p you can't tell it just looks the same as there cheapest rx 7000 card. Returned it within a day. ... show more

  • Radeon 7900XT
I have been an NVIDIA Junkie for many many years. MY Buddy suggested i try an AMD card. i have got to say its One of the Two best choices i have made in my life. This GPU runs so well and its so quiet. Very close to how quiet the 3070 was.

  • Awesome cooling
The media could not be loaded. A good gpu for gaming was hesitant getting an amd gpu but it performs exponentially well
