  • Best bang for your buck at $499
Can't beat this card for the price! If you can find it for $499 ships and sold by Amazon, BUY IT you will NOT regret your purchase! I have been waiting and waiting and waiting to finally, in all my years building and gaming on PC (started in the 80s with the family XT clone so I've been around), purchasing a top tier (1 level below i suppose) graphics card has just never been in my budget. I upgraded from a 5700xt i grabbed right before the Bitcoin bust in 2000, June, got that for 300 on here and it was a fantastic card for my AM4 2600X build at the time. I did a minor upgrade last year to 5800x3d on an Asus b550xe gaming motherboard so i could get pcie4, and just waited patiently for the new generation to come out. I got lucky, saw these for 499 but wouldn't be around for 2 to 3 weeks, i pulled the trigger and waited patiently. Sure enough about a month went by and a brand new 7800xt showed up at my doorstep. I could nut be happier, i can play anything out there at 1440p pretty much maxed out and even with Ray Tracing on low, Cyberpunk runs at 70fps all while staying around 60c or so with the fans at 50%, cpu is on a 240 aio and stays right around 52c warmest. If you can get this thing and $500, even $550 i think you'll have a great gaming card for at least 2 generations to come. ... show more

  • Top Tier Contender for 1440p Cards
I spent literal months shopping and comparing cards. I finally bought this when it came back in stock along with a Ryzen 7 9700x for my first ever build, and after a month I've been really impressed with the performance. It was very easy to install on the motherboard. I tried Gigabyte's tuning software, but I've found Ryzen's Adrenalin to be much better for fine tuning, even allowing you to tune individual games. It runs quiet and cool once you get in and adjust the fan curves and voltages. It'll be a couple months before I can start comparing power usage vs. my consoles, but considering I'm not running it to its max, I doubt I'll notice much difference. My only gripe is that every once in a while in a game, the sound will drop out for a couple seconds, and in other games the screen will go black for a couple seconds. Probably less to do with this card specifically and more just the architecture of the card itself. Overall though it was definitely a great buy for a 1440p high settings card. ... show more

  • Great card and great value!
What a great card at a great value! Luckily I got one at $539.99 before the crazy price gouging. It can handle the latest 4k games (SF6, Tekken 8, Cyberpunk). It'll perform even better when using of Adrenaline's Frame Gen and Super Resolution. Overclocking at a higher GPU clock OR at higher memory clock, depending on the game, can achieve surprisingly great results. ... show more

  • Price for performance and quality
The 7800xt is an absolute beast! I've had the card a few weeks now and the quality of the card is absolutely amazing. I upgraded from a 4060TI. It stays super quiet and fairly cool even under heavy gaming loads at 1440p max settings. If you want nice quality graphics or your chasing higher FPS without breaking the bank this GPU will do it for sure. Also the AMD adrenaline software is just as easy if not better than Nvidia in my opinion. ... show more

  • Great card, mediocre shipping experience
The 7800XT is a BEAST of a GPU and is fantastic for anybody who wants to play modern games at high-ultra depending on the game. The delivery was my main issue. My card got delayed for week the day it was originally supposed to arrive. When it finally did arrive (ordered about a month before I actually got it) it was on a day I was at work and they "left it in a secure location" with no picture or anything. It was right in front of my apartment and I'm lucky my friend was able to put it in my apartment for me. ... show more

  • Amazing graphics card. 🫣
This card is beautiful. It has a metal backplate, three fans, good bright lighting, and is a nicely proportioned two slot card. The heat sink is GNARLY, it has a bunch of copper heat pipes, horizontal cooling fins, and an amazing light grey on dark grey paint scheme. The 7800XT is a tank, it has brut force performance, it curb stomps 1440 GPUs from Nvidia such as the 4070 and 4070ti in terms of price to performance. The noise level of the fans is kind of high if you go balls to the wall ultra graphics on gaming like playing Starfield, Space Marine 2, Or Cyberpunk. If you play on competitive settings for like call of duty, or battlefield, the noise is non existent. This thing isn’t even phased by somewhat older titles. I couldn’t be happier with this card, and I’m so glad I spent money on something that didn’t max out my credit card AHEM Nvidia 🤨. Ray tracing performance is alright, but then again I don’t ever use it because it’s pointless, little to no crashes and the triple fan design is well suited for mid tower/full tower/dual chamber design cases in terms of size. This is not a mini atx gpu, and also before you install the card, make sure to uninstall all your gpu drivers from the previous card if you’re upgrading. Overall, price to performance is unbeatable, fans need a quieter design like bequiet, maybe collaboration with them would be cool, but eh, power draw is Quite extreme capping at 300w if you’re pushing it, clock speeds are awesome, and the card just looks stunning. ... show more
