The company packs this extremely well with heavy cardboard, reinforced corners and tons of styrofoam. The box looked damaged when we received it, but due to good packaging nothing was broken. This is a definite 5 stars if you want to use it as a cabinet with all the shelves. Of course, for the price it is made out of particle board, but it is good thick and heavy particle board for everything but the back. The back is two extremely thin pieces held together by multiple screws and and a piece of black plastic down the middle. The finish is excellent and certainly looks like real wood. Great rustic look, good quality and design, and relatively easy to assemble. It is sturdy with all the shelves and a great deal for the price. If you are like me desperately looking for a small Broom Closet that looks good and isn't made out of metal, you will need to be handy with tools to make this work. The problem is that if you only put in the top shelf, you will have 48 inches of interior space to hang your brooms. If you put only the bottom shelf in you have about 50 inches of interior space. All the shelves are spaced 16 inches apart. An average Broom is about 53 inches, so the space is too small. You can buy small brooms and mops that will fit but they are usually not as good quality and more expensive. If you have a Swiffer it won't fit. Also if you put no shelves in, it is not sturdy. so you will have to be reinforce the back. Total interior space from top to bottom without shelves is 66 inches. The exterior dimension is 72 inches tall. Our solution to this problem was to construct a three sided interior box of about 10 inches that rested on the bottom and was glued and screwed into one of the provided shelves. Another way to do this without a box would be to screw the provided shelf in from the side, but then the screw would show on the side of the unit. Even with this one 10 inch shelf the unit was not really stable, so for the back of the unit we cut 3 pieces of thin wood 17 inches long (we cut and stained long paint stirrers) and screwed them into the sides where the original shelves were designed to go. This gave the unit structural integrity. I am very pleased with this solution, though it did take some brainstorming as well as some time and work. We are able to fit 3 Brooms, 3 Mops, a Swiffer, a duster, and some telescoping poles in the unit. Beneath the shelf, there is room for about 3 standard size nesting buckets that hold cleaning supplies. For a finishing touch I put on a "Broom Closet" stick on decal. I give this project 5 stars because I am pleased with the look and the end result, after looking for a solution for so long. Looks so much better the plastic trash can we had our brooms stored in. There is an involved build process, but everything lined up well and it turned out to be a perfect cabinet to house the extra appliance things that I couldn't fit in my townhouse kitchen. It's solid and sturdy, and looks pretty nice for prefab furniture. When I built it, I was careful to follow the instructions. At the end, I realized I had put the bottom frame piece upside down, so the door wouldn't close on the bottom, but it was easy enough to undo two fasteners and flip it. Am overall pretty happy with the cabinet. Be mindful of the size of the opening if you have large items that need to fit through the door space. ... show more

Overall I really like the cabinets. They are definitely not super easy to put together. Missing or have drilled holes. My least favorite it doesn’t offer an option to flip the door so that if you bought two of them like we did, instead of them going the same direction, you can have them face into each other so that the doors look more symmetrical I guess or so that they could both face out instead of going the same direction I know we purchased another set a few years back and they did offer that and I thought we were getting them from the same place but it ended up not being that way so my husband had to drill and re-fix the magnets on the door hoping it will hold that way, but all in all, we are very satisfied both of them seem to be not level so we are having to put some thing under one of the feet and it is a defect with the cabinets not the floor but again after they were put together and they’re sitting in place we are satisfied and they look quite good. They are not too big they offer a substantial amount of space to store things and I love the dark espresso black. It does not look cheap. ... show more

Seems to be very sturdy. I needed extra storage in the bathroom and this was a good choice. The white color is sorta grey. But I can fix that! Good value for the money.

This product is not white. It is grey / beige wood pattern (greige). If you are looking to match white or cream cabinets that you already have it will not match. It is somewhat difficult to assemble and the back is very flimsy. It does have good storage capacity and the overall design is pleasing. I buy tons of furniture that needs to be put together. I enjoy doing it. These are the worst instructions I’ve ever seen. Individual pieces are not labeled. It’s impossible to see what piece of hardware goes where. Do not recommend whatsoever.

    • CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS BEST!
This cabinet helped my family save room in our garage and went together easily (same basic parts as with many of these types of cabinet, i.e., dowel, "screw and lock" assembly with easily attachable magnetic cabinet locks. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT ASSET = AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. As with many companies, you become a "WHO?" and forgotten. Not with Giantex. They communicated with me in a timely manner when I needed an extra part; kept me informed; and NEVER FORGOT I WAS THEIR CUSTOMER. We have parity products nowadays, but what matters most is the companies that honor their word and put customers first, that's GIANTEX. ... show more
