I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this ZZLAY bean bag chair. After it fully expanded, it became much larger and more supportive than I expected. Instead of feeling like a traditional bean bag that constantly sinks or shifts, it has more of a lounge chair or small sofa feel thanks to the shredded foam filling. The corduroy fabric is incredibly soft and comfortable to sit on for long periods. I’ve used it for watching TV, gaming, reading, and even taking short naps, and it’s been excellent for all of those activities. The back support is much better than standard bean bags, so I don’t feel like I’m constantly slouching. One feature I really appreciate is the matching ottoman. Being able to put my feet up makes it much more relaxing, and together they create a very comfortable lounging setup. The armrests also make a noticeable difference by giving the chair a more structured feel. The chair arrived compressed, so it did take some time to fully expand. I fluffed and rotated it a few times over the first couple of days, and it gradually reached its full shape. Once expanded, the foam provided good support while still feeling soft and cozy.

So I was sent this item to give my honest review. I am a big lover of all things retro BoHo. So being sent this item to do a review on I just love that because I’m gonna tell you guys all of the things that I wanted to know and reviews and that I still say to this day, why didn’t they tell us which size picture for example or which size chair they got? It’s the little things that we need to know so we can refer to that review and know exactly what was purchased anyway right out of the bag I give it five stars but I have covered it to protect it, but I really do hope it takes shape because if you look at the pictures right on the bag, you become nervous, but I’m used to getting these types of furniture that are delivered sealed I had a chase lounger delivered to me and it was sealed, but it took shaped straight away, so that’s why I am hesitant on the fact that this chair looks the way it does out of the box but looking at durability, looking at the fact that you can wash the cover on the footstool and chair. Makes me want to love this chair. So I love all of them things. I love that I can wash it and keep up with it. I it fits right in with my decor so I’m just going to the process with you guys. I am gonna update in 24 hours. I open the bag at 10 o’clock tonight so I’m going to update tomorrow at the same time and just kinda go through the process with you and let you know where it’s at in 24 hours because again you’re gonna be your decision on this type of thing if it hasn’t taken at least shape by tomorrow, I’m gonna get concerned but it’s a full 48 hours with all that being said. So out of the box 5 stars we will see in 24 hours and then I will update in 48 and I’ll either love it or be very disappointed because I was really looking forward to this chair and it working out and I’m not saying it’s not going to. We will find out where it’s at in 24 hours, but we have a total of 48 but will edit. The pictures provided below obviously are right out of the box. So let me update this. I take it back. It does have its shape so I do have high hopes. Looking at it again in the picture way it definitely looks like it has taken it shape now we just have to wait for it to inflate, I have high hopes. Edit: 24 hrs later still has taken no shape. I am almost certain and 24 hours. It will still have not taken shape. Another thing that I gotta worry about getting rid of. Edit: 48 hrs later. Never took shape. Simply garbage. So disappointed..

I was excited to receive the zzlay Giant Bean Bag Chair with Ottoman and Armrests because it looked like the perfect oversized lounge chair for reading, watching TV, or simply relaxing. After setting it up, I found that while it is incredibly comfortable, it is definitely smaller in person than the listing photos led me to expect. That said, once I sat down, I was pleasantly surprised by how supportive and cozy it actually is. Appearance & Design The chair has a modern, minimalist design that fits well with a variety of home décor styles. The soft fabric gives it a cozy "cloud chair" appearance, and the matching ottoman is a nice addition that completes the set. It looks inviting and works well in a living room, bedroom, dorm room, game room, or reading nook. The only disappointment was the overall size. Based on the product photos and description, I anticipated something much larger. While it isn't tiny by any means, it doesn't have the oversized feel I was expecting. Quality & Construction The materials feel soft and well made, and the stitching appears durable. The fabric is comfortable against the skin and seems like it will hold up well with regular use. The chair maintains its shape nicely while providing enough flexibility to contour to your body. The included ottoman is also well constructed and adds to the overall comfort by allowing you to fully stretch out and relax. Comfort & Performance This is where the chair really shines. Despite being smaller than expected, it is extremely comfortable. I ordered because I need a relaxing/reading chair in my office/studio. It comes all compressed and the instructions say to let it sit and expand for 72 hours. We did that noting that it is still a little lopsided. The corduroy covering is quite nice and soft and feels fairly durable. The color is a little lighter than it looks in the photos; like more of a blue gray. It’s worth mentioning that this isn’t a true ‘bean bag chair’; it isn’t filled with beans, not even the styrofoam ones we used to have. It’s all foam so while cushy, it does get warm sitting in it. The seat comes in at about 16 inches high, a bit shorter than stated. The backrest is just too too low and flimsy to give any support and I have to say for me, the chair was not as comfortable as it looks, especially for reading. I think it would maybe work well as a gaming chair or as a cute little accent chair in a pre-teen’s room. It’s worth the price; I just wouldn’t really call it an adult chair.

I keep a mental list of things I tell myself I can no longer buy: striped shirts, lamps, black shoes. As of last week, bean bag chairs have been added to the list. Over the past few months, I've tried about three of them. My search stops with this one. It's the best. What makes this the best of the bunch? A lot of things. First, the color. I love the gray-green fabric, and it fits my house perfectly. The fabric is soft and comfortable against bare skin. The arms and back are supportive without feeling stiff. My favorite feature, though, is the ottoman. It works perfectly with the chair, but it's also handy as extra seating for a guest or topped with a tray to hold a cup of coffee. A few things are worth knowing before you buy. The chair sits -- and therefore you sit -- pretty close to the ground, making it a great option for kids, teens, and people with great knees. (Grandma? Not so much.) I'm 5'6" and find it comfortable, but someone much taller might not. It also arrives flat and a little misshapen. Mine expanded quickly and was easy to coax into shape. It would be easy to take to a college dorm in the box, but don't expect the same convenience when it's time to move out. Some reviewers mention an unpleasant odor. Mine had a slight smell if I put my nose right up to the fabric, but I suspect that was from the packaging. It disappeared within a couple of days. If you need an extra chair for a den, bedroom, or dorm, this would be my pick.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this bean bag chair and ottoman set! It arrives tightly vacuum-sealed and rolled up in a box, so you’ll need to carefully unroll it before opening the sealed bag. I appreciated that they even include a small safety razor with a protective guard, which made opening the packaging easy without worrying about damaging the fabric. Mine expanded nicely after giving it some time. The Amazon listing recommends 48 hours, while the included instruction booklet suggests 72 hours. I gently patted, massaged, and reshaped the chair as it expanded to help the filling settle into the cover, and it made a noticeable difference. I’ll be including before-and-after photos because it’s pretty amazing how much it changes once fully expanded. The removable, machine-washable cover is a huge plus, and the green color is exactly what I was hoping for. The fabric is incredibly soft, and the chair has enough structure to hold its shape while still feeling cozy. Just keep in mind that it’s still a bean bag chair. The back isn’t especially supportive for a full-sized adult, but it’s very comfortable for lounging. Smaller adults can certainly enjoy it, but I think it’s especially well-suited for kids, tweens, teens, or a college dorm room. Overall, it’s a fun, comfortable, and well-made bean bag set that looks great and feels like a quality product.
