I bought this because I needed another chair for my living room, and I loved the idea of having a backup bed for overnight guests without the hassle of a blow-up mattress. It has exceeded my expectations in both comfort and versatility. Comfort As a bean bag chair, itā€™s incredibly comfortable for lounging. But as a bed, itā€™s even better. In fact, Iā€™ve found myself sleeping on it instead of my actual mattress a couple of times because it molds perfectly to your body, thanks to the memory-foam-like filling. The material inside feels like soft, cut-up pieces of memory foam, offering the perfect balance of softness and support. Ease of Use Converting it between a chair and a bed is relatively straightforwardā€”Iā€™d rate it a solid 7/10 for ease. It does take a little effort, but itā€™s worth it for the versatility it offers. Packaging and Setup The packaging was a bit of a challenge to open and set up initiallyā€”it almost felt too difficult to unpack. But once it was out, everything worked as expected. I bought this full size mattress/chair for probably a rather unique purpose. I threw it in the back of my mini van on top of a twin sized bed frame and used it while traveling and later at a campout. It worked great! The mattress requires a lot of time to decompress when you first get it. For best results, pull it out of the box right away and wait an hour or so. Then pull the foam apart with your fingers and give it some more time to decompress. The recommendation is 24 hours but I don't think mine had decompressed completely for several days. The picture of the mattress is a bit misleading in that it will never look that squared and flat. The mattress looks more like a big bag. This mattress will easily squish around any obstacle, making it ideal for using on an uneven surface such as on the ground of a tent or in a cramped space like the back of a minivan. I found the mattress extremely comfortable; more comfortable than my own bed! I slept like a rock. However, after two days I found it had developed some really hard lumps where I had been laying. I pulled them apart with my fingers, flipped the mattress, and it was as good as new. I don't think this would be much of an issue for a child or someone who weighs less than 120 lbs, but regardless I would definitely request the free extra stuffing to fill out the mattress. As far as being used as a chair: This works fine for one person. Do not expect it to feel or act exactly like a bean bag however. This product is filled with squishy foam, not beans or styrofoam. For storage: Good luck ever getting it back into its original box. Save yourself the stress and just leave it in the bag chair or otherwise find a bigger box for storage. It also comes in a giant plastic bag that is capable of holding the decompressed mattress. I recommend saving the bag for future storage. One other thing that I want to mention: I found that it smelled when it got wet. In conclusion, this product worked great for me and generally was close to my expectations of it. However, if you are looking for a full size mattress for every day sleeping then this is definitely not what you should be buying. ... show more

I recently bought 2 of the king size because a friend of mine's family had them while we were in high school and I loved them. They were extremely comfortable then and after receiving them I can say these are equally as comfortable as they were back in high school. They should probably be used in a TV room, basement, or a video game room. They're not necessarily the most stylish things in the whole world nor are they the most supportive however they are incredibly comfortable. If you like sinking into a giant pillow you will definitely like these. As far as everybody saying that they do not fluff up they simply are not breaking the foam up enough. They ship vacuum sealed so all the foam is compressed in on itself and is like a big flat sheet. You will probably spend 45 minutes to an hour breaking the foam up inside of the bag once you get it and then after that it can take anywhere between 24-48 hours for it to fully expand. You can tell in the review videos that are posted on here saying they don't fluff up that they did not break the foam up enough. If your lazy don't buy these. Like I said you will spend every bit of 45 minutes to an hour breaking up the foam. It's easier if you have someone help you twice as much done. As far as the bed part goes again they are incredibly comfortable I've already slept on it for one night and woke up well rested. Obviously everybody likes a different firmness. These are extremely soft and are made of a chipped foam material inside. If you are older, have a hard time getting off the floor, are on the heavier side, and/or have back issues I would not recommend this. But if you are somebody that is able to get up relatively easily and like soft beds these would be perfect for you. I highly recommend these! ... show more

At first, I was hesitant to spend $300+ on a beanbag chair. I've purchased several of the $100 ones from Amazon over the past few years and they were always decent for the price. But I came across these and was interested since it could double as a bed, for when relatives come to visit. I was really impressed with the quality of the cover and the foam material inside. It's not quite as soft as what I'm used to, but it also maintains its form a lot better and I don't have to re-fluff it every time I sit down. I got one of the matching foot rests as well, and that's a great addition. I have two young kids so the ability to wash the cover on this is really nice as well, I'm sure I'll take advantage of it often. If you have money to spend on a beanbag, this is absolutely worth it. I'm writing this review because I was hesitant to by this "been bag" because of the reviews. When I was a teenager I had a bean bag chair. Since I was a teenage boy I didn't car that it leaked thousands of Styrofoam beans that ultimately Mom would vacuum up. I know bad son. But I grew up and now my youngest wanted a big bean bag chair. No way i wanted my wife to have to deal with that. After doing research i realized they use memory foam chunks now. All kinds of bad reviews. But I went with this queen size. This thing is so cool. My Son loves it. Also the added mattress functionality is so smart. And the sofy corduroy bag is very soft. Filled up huge after an hour or so outside of the packaging. Easy to assemble it might take 2 people because it is heavy. Yes day one it does have a slight chemical smell but not overpowering, I fully expect the smell to go away in a few days. Joking I told the wife we were going to get rid of our sofa and chairs and just have 5 of these things. But they at least for now are that comfortable. Now keep in mind I'm a little over 6'3" and weigh about 360ish. I sat down on this thing and I did not sink to the floor. It is comfortable easy to sit in. Letā€™s start from the top. I was looking for some extra comfortable seating inside my living room when I came across the episode of shark tank and decided a beanbag could work really well, after all it can double as a bed too and looked comfortable on TV. I ordered the beanbag it arrived and got to setting up. First thing you notice out of the box is this thing is really weird the foam is lumpy but it says to give it a few days and let it expand so thatā€™s what I did. Few days later Iā€™ve got a decent sized bag that was kind of comfortable to sit in but an absolute wreck to get out of. Youā€™re so low to the ground I canā€™t imagine someone with bad knees or a worse back than mine to get out of it. So I decided to see what the bed was like now that itā€™s fully expanded and this easily was the most disappointing thing about the bag. I would rather sleep on a carpeted floor than on this ā€œmattressā€. I cannot stress this enough, if you are looking to buy this bean bag for its functionality just stop. After realizing my $300 wasnā€™t well spent I decided Iā€™m returning this because Iā€™m not getting what I paid for. However, in order to return it you need to find a way to vacuum seal it and pack it away. My answer to this solution was buying a strong enough vacuum cleaner and putting this monstrosity in a mattress bag I bought from U-Haul and buying a new box from UPS. So in order to return this thing I had to spend a little over $100 on materials to return it. The positive from this experience is that Iā€™ve got a good vacuum cleaner that I didnā€™t need but I will 100% get more use out of compared to this lumpy, disappointing, overpriced beanbag. I bought a full size bag the first go around. It arrived quickly as promised. My wife called to ask how it was when she heard it had arrived. My exact response was ā€œvery underwhelmingā€. This was due to the foam not yet expanding. So, after waiting a couple days, my opinion completely changed. The stuffing did expand and my kids now loved the bag. We even had guests come stay that used it as a mattress. They were impressed. It obviously wasnā€™t the most comfortable bed theyā€™ve had, but for a couple nights it worked great. We were so impressed now that I decided to buy a second one. This time I purchased a queen size bag, certain that weā€™d be blown away. However itā€™s now been almost 48 hours and the foam still has not expanded much. The foam was way more clumpy than the full size bed and much more difficult to break up. It was compressed so tightly into sheets (it comes rolled up not in a cube like the video shows) that the sheets are not breaking up. Even when ā€œmassagingā€ them as their videos demonstrate, the foam is not breaking apart. After almost 2 days, my full size bag is bigger, more full, and has significantly more support than the queen size bag. As a bed there is no way you could use it. It lies so flat that youā€™d be lying on the ground. And the remaining clumps are so uncomfortable youā€™d never be able to sleep anyway. Iā€™ve read a lot of reviews about needing more stuffing. Iā€™m honestly pretty shocked that with as many complaints as there are about understuffing that this continues to be a problem. Youā€™d think that the company would automatically decide to re-examine the stuffing amount for the bags and correct the issue. That said though, it is true that I didnā€™t need more for the full bag. It was perfect. But the queen bag is obviously under-stuffed. Another issue is that the inner lining is very different between the two bags. Iā€™ll attach pictures. The full size bag has the liner that you see in the pictures with the company logo on it. The queen size bag has some generic liner around it that sounds like a parachute rubbing around anytime you move it. Maybe this was an earlier version thatā€™s been sitting in their warehouse? Youā€™d never be able to sleep on the bed because the liner is so noisy. Again, not sure why the change in the liner from the full bag to the queen bag, but the queen bag is terrible by comparison. Itā€™s sad that the quality of the product shifted so much from the full to the queen size bag. Iā€™ve owned a luvsac and even liked the full way more than the luvsac. But the queen size cost more money and was a significantly different (and worse) product. Iā€™ve heard their customer service is amazing so Iā€™ll put that to the test after giving the bag another day or two just to be sure. Iā€™ll update my review after I speak with them. In my opinion it will absolutely need a new liner but most likely a new liner and new stuffing. In the photos, the full is on the left, queen on the right. The photos donā€™t do justice to the true ā€œlumpinessā€ of the queen. Also, after looking at the tag on the liners, the full size says itā€™s a 80/20 polyester/cotton mix while the queen says itā€™s a 65/35 poly/cotton mix. Surprising as youā€™d expect the one with more poly to maybe be noisier but itā€™s the opposite. The queen liner is extremely loud. UPDATE: I called the company to see how to fix the issues with the queen bag I received. I was excited to see if their customer service was as impressive as others had made it sound. FAIL. I called and got an answering machine or voicemail which stated to leave your name and phone number and then theyā€™d call you back as soon as possible. I left my name, number, and a brief description of my issue. That was almost two weeks ago. Still have not heard anything back and have been too busy myself to try calling them again. I have changed my review to now only one star due to the customer service, or lack thereof, being just as unimpressive as the product. Iā€™ll continue to try to reach out to them and will update the review once I hear from them. Until then, I honestly can not recommend this product to anyone. FINAL UPDATE: I finally had time to try and contact their customer service again. Again I had to leave a message. This time however, I received a call back from Steph the very next day. She was awesome and every bit as impressive as other reviewers have mentioned. After giving her a brief description of the problem, she gave me her email, asked for the amazon order number, and then sent an entirely new queen size bag (no cover as the old cover is perfect). The new ā€œinsertā€ as they call them arrived yesterday. I could tell the difference immediately upon opening the box. Within 5 minutes of opening the box, the bag already had more fullness and ā€œfluffā€ than the now couple month old one does. I can already tell weā€™ll love it just like we did the full size one. Also, the liner now is the exact same liner as the liner that was on the full size bag. It is a significantly better liner. Steph said they have a couple different liners that they use. Not sure why. The brown one is WAY better than the other one. The only thing I could think of is that maybe the brown ones are newer and occasionally you get one of the older ones out of their stock. Anyway, the new bag looks like it will be just as impressive as the full size one. Steph was amazing. Loved the ease of working with her and the companyā€™s obvious commitment to quality and providing memorable customer experiences. Theyā€™ve turned us back into fans again. Now looking forward to buying some pillow pods from them. Review has been updated to 3 stars. I couldnā€™t go more than that just because it did take multiple phone calls to get a hold of the company and also the fact that the quality of the first queen bag that was sent was so much worse than the quality of the full bag and second queen bag.
