  • Some of the finest strings ever
Style: GHS Strings
These strings have an amazing feel and tone. Nice mids and good growl for a pressure wound string. I've finally found a string that does a good enough job of both rounds and flats that I don't think I need two basses to do both jobs. I love these strings.

  • Oh yeah!
Style: GHS Strings
I am not a fan of half round strings, sound flat and don't care for finger nose of rounds. I bought these on recommendation and put them on with hesitation (due to previous use of non flat wound strings). Let me tell you they sound and play great on my Gretsch G5440LS Hollowbody Electric Bass. So much so that I decided to try them on my Fender Player Series P bass and love them on it. I won't change the TI Jazz Flats on my Jazz Bass but these so far are keepers. Had them on the Gretsch for 2 weeks now and P bass for little over a week. ... show more

  • Weird Gauge Choice
Style: GHS Strings
These are cool strings if you're looking for a mellow-er sounding roundwound. The lighter gauges of the D and G strings (44 and 62 respectively) sound twangy and unbalanced compared to the A and E. This was the biggest turn-off for me as I, and most bassists, like to have consistent tone across the set of strings. I left them on for a few weeks with daily playing and the D and G did not calm down at all, so off they went. ... show more

  • Great strings
Style: GHS Strings
My favorite strings. Tone is right in the middle and the strings are easy on your fingers

  • Great strings for all styles
Style: GHS Strings
They have the sound of rounds but play and feel more like flats- I prefer these by far to "ground wound" or "half rounds".
