As a former barista, believe me when I say that this machine is small but mighty! This pulls shots quickly and yields quality espresso. I love the built in pressure gauge and the hefty portafilters. This is not a cheaply made machine as one might suspect from the price. Also, for such a small machine, the steam wand makes excellent micro foam. It heats and swirls the milk very nicely. We had a used machine prior to this one that a friend had gifted us. When that one died I began researching and my husband and I settled on this one. Couldn’t be happier with our purchase! I'll start with the one disappointment.... the grinder and espresso machine are different colors. I know it sounds silly, but why are these packaged as a matching set when they clearly don't match? The grinder is a more pink-ish color. Looking past that superficial detail, so far it has worked great. As a former barista myself I had some hesitations about investing in an Espresso machine that has almost an entire PLASTIC build but with the sale price and Gevi Grinder thrown in for good measure, I was game. WOW ! Impressive, sturdy, well constructed and compact are just a few words to describe this Little Wonder In My Kitchen. Unboxing was easy. Set up instructions for both Espresso machine and grinder are straight forward, orderly and complete. Operation was a snap with variable adjustments to both machines which allow a suitable level of pressure and grinding selections for anyone’s taste. I’ve had this espresso maker for over a year now & have no issues with it. It works great, it’s easy to use & great for a beginner. I have had a few espresso makers & this one so far has been my favorite. The grinder has different settings so that I can adjust how I want my espresso. The few things I would complain about is the wand doesn’t come off to clean, I don’t feel like it makes the best froth (I love extra frothy) & when I make more than one cup you have to make espresso first & froth last because if you make your shots then froth you have to wait like 10 minutes for the machine to cool down to make another shot. ... show more
