Because my previous toilet performed so poorly, I researched this brand excessively. I. dug through plumber listservs to see what professionals thought of Gerber. While opinions varied, the majority of experienced plumbers praised the brand’s reliability, ease of installation, and repairability. That matched my experience. I couldn’t use the guide rails because my toilet sits on a metal flange—removing it would’ve meant cutting into the plumbing. I skipped the guides, and the install was still as straightforward as any other toilet. After two months of use, I’m extremely happy. I plan to replace my other toilets with this model. My previous toilet needed plunging every other week and brushing after every use involving solids. This one hasn’t needed a brush at all, aside from my regular cleaning routine. The design, height, and seat are excellent. It’s easy to flush, with the handle only needing one push without jiggling or fiddling or waiting around to see if it works. The city I live in charges a lot for water. So, I really wanted a toilet that wouldn’t use a lot of water since most of the water in your home goes toward flushing the toilet. This is a high-efficiency toilet that uses 20% less water than the federal standard (1.28 GPF vs. 1.6 GPF), and it’s made in the USA. I prefer the ADA (taller than standard) height toilets and an elongated bowl. I've had great luck with Gerber faucets and decided to give this a try after a disappointing experience with a TOTO in my last bathroom remodel. So far, this seems great. I was a little concerned with only 1.28 gal per flush, but no issues so far. Plenty of power behind each flush. The fit and finish are excellent, exactly as I'd expect from Gerber. I've used several of their faucets over the years and this brand has earned my trust. I was a little skeptical of the included wax ring and alignment pins, but this was the simplest install I've had so far. The other toilets I've done say to install the wax ring on the toilet first, then lower it down on the flange. That never quite felt right. I prefer this where you get the wax ring right where it needs to go on the flange, then the alignment pins ensure you get everything positioned just right as you lower the toilet down. Fantastic. This is a great toilet. It was easy to install for the plumber and the toilet is very high quality. I love that it sits higher than regular toilets and is easy to flush. The design is very nice and pretty and looks great. The flushing noise level is quiet and quick. I highly recommend!
