Description

Men are constantly looking for work boots that have great durability but are still comfortable to wear. This 8" Georgia Logger's upper was crafted with full-grain leather; it has a strong-looking black hue, while the material has superb hardiness, it is also outstandingly soft. This men's work boot has a lace-up design, this is great because it allows you to adjust the fit. Don't worry about the stud hooks being yanked out while you're working, they have been attached to steel washers. When you need to get the job done, you need the help of this Georgia Boot lace-up. Its lugged, oil-resistant outsole and ANSI-compliant safety toe help protect every step while pliable leather and a cushioned insole provide all-day comfort. P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); Every item - right down to the last hard-working detail - can be traced back to 1937 when our passion for footwear was born. It started with a tough farm boot and a simple belief that boots should work as hard as the people wearing them.Thousands of style See more

  • Amazon... Awesome customer service.
Size: 12 Wide Color: Black
I bought a pair of these boots and I really liked them. They felt heavy duty the leather was heavy thick felt good to wear them. But I read a review on them and the guy had mentioned that the left heel had lifted off the sole so I look at mine and lo and behold it was the same way. So I called Amazon and they said that they would send me a new pair and I could send back the defective ones. I was impressed that some serious customer service. The only problem is the boots I got look the same but when I started wearing them I noticed the leather was really thin. First I noticed the tongue was like really, really thin. Then I noticed the whole boot was floppy. They don't feel the same and really don't fit the same when you're wearing them. It's like a different company is making them and making them really cheap. I mean with a Capital CHEAP. Also because the leather is so thin it doesn't give good support to my foot it flops all around inside the boot. I wish I had kept the old boots even though they were damaged. There was so much better than these. Also they I noticed they had raised the price! I gotta give at least a two thumbs down because of the extreme sacrifice in quality. Recommendation..... 👎👎 ... show more

  • Good quality and quick break-in
Size: 10 Wide Color: Black
I'll use these boots for general chores around my homestead, including some fairly hard use when clearing out underbrush and trash trees for fire safety here in the western foothills of the Sierras in California. The first day I felt a little chafing on my outer ankle bones, but by the end of the second day they were completely comfortable. The only cluck I have is that the upper lacing hooks are stamped metal rather than the cast or machined kind. The stamped metal ones are susceptible to being crushed inward if something hard hits them directly, but unless it happens a lot the bent tab can be opened back up with pliers without breaking off. I'm tempted to order another pair just in case Georgia Boot decides to discontinue this model "to serve you better." Everything else about them seems to be good quality. UPDATE: I've had these boots for 2 1/2 years now, and have been using them regularly around the ranch for a variety of projects and daily chores. They're still in good condition, comfortable, have plenty of sole left, and I have to admit that my original cluck about the lacing hooks being stamped rather than cast type turns out to have been unfounded. All the hooks are in good condition and none have been deformed or broken. I'm still hoping Georgia Boot will maintain this quality so when I order a replacement pair sometime in the future I won't be disappointed by any cheapening of the materials or mfg. process. G.B., are you listening? ... show more

very good off the shelf woods boot. I always had a hard time finding a good work boot (working in woods). now this isn't as nice as boots I had hand made that finally gave out, but was in the market for a good boot that fit properly, and held up. I tried georgia and again can't beat hand made boot but this was very acceptable. This is my second pair, first ones still ok but too many hours on side hill took their toll one them. Even 2 pairs were half price of my hand made ones and thus glad "stepped" down to these. I dont like steel toe due to extra weight and don't need steel toed for what I do. ... show more

  • Failed initial inspection, passed during the retry
Size: 10 Wide Color: Black
I enjoy the support of the Logger style of boot and I've never owned a pair of the Georgia's. I had these on my list and I seen they were on sale. So I saved a nice chunk and bought em. The first pair failed expectations. There was machine marks around the sole that damaged the upper leather. The kind that maybe whoever was running the boot sander that day was probably their first day. That said, I didn't even try them on. I sent them back and Amazon customer support quickly sent me another pair. Great support. The other pair came and passed. Everything was perfect...ish. for those that don't know, good boots that get welted usually get sanded around by hand at some point. I haven't seen an automated process for this to my knowledge. Anyways, there are signs where you can see some material is thicker than other spots. It's hardly noticeable, but for me it's something I appreciate because someone skilled took the time to hand craft your item and not damage it. The brass is shiny, the laces are nice, the finish on the leather is very nice and the leather is full grain. My only complaint is that they do a great job stitching the leather to the sole....but why only single stitch the upper parts like where the eyelets are, and not double stitch them for durability? At regular price point, there are other boot manufacturers that will use double stitching. That's like a gold standard. As for the break in....we all know you should ease a new boot in.....yeah I didn't. No break in needed for these because the leather is already soft. I wore them to work the next day and 13k steps later, the toe portion of the stitching started feathering. Usually I don't see this in my other brands of boots, or at least months after wearing them. Although I'm not concerned about it, it does leave me with a sense of "a little early to show a sign of wearing." Overall, it is day two and I love these boots and I'm glad I put them into my collection. ... show more

  • Not as good as Georgia used to be, but good leather
**4 MO UPDATE** Stitching broke, sole was worn down and they never fully broke in (pretty close though). The leather was fine, but the stitching just starting coming off the heal. Luckily amazon is an amazing company and took them back! I couldn't believe it! THANK YOU AMAZON! That was the last pair of Georgia boots I will ever buy in my life. Moved over to Ariat and am very pleased. **1 MO UPDATE** It's now been over a month. Breaking the boots in was hell, no if's and's or but's about it. I walk 30 (yes 30) miles or so a week in these boots. It took 2.5 weeks to break them in. that is about 75mi (yes 75) to break them in. I ran through the better half of two pair of boot socks and have 5 wear spots on the front of me feet. But SOB I got 'em broke in, I wasn't about to give up on them. I've never had more than a 2-3 day break in before, so this was shocking for me. Anyhow, after that nonsense, I can say the boots are here to last. The leather is forming real nice to my feet and the stitching is holding fine. The sole is a bit weak and will probably have to be replaced within 6-8 months. That isn't too unexpected though, as I use my chevrolegs quite a bit. ------------------------------- Well, I got these Friday and it is now Tuesday. The boots lack the finesse of a higher end construction. On top they look good, but when you flip the boot upside down, the screws and nails are not all lined up and orderly (they used to be, in older boots). The leather is real nice, but is solid as a rock. This has been the toughest pair of boots to break in I have ever had; I thought my toe was broken Saturday. The stitching is ok, not great, not bad. The laces are cheap, but I always replace my laces with para-cord immediately anyhow. The outsole seems a bit soft, but is silent and sturdy. Overall so far, they are worth the price, but they are insanely tough to break in. I'd recommend them for a cheaper work boot as of now - will update later too. ... show more

  • Haven’t fallen apart despite constant abuse
Size: 11 Color: Black
Better than most budget boots these days. I’m going on 7 months of wearing these boots almost every single day. The soles have almost no tread left but yet they are still hanging on without signs of coming apart from the boot. I like that they’re screwed on and the boots themselves have withstood diesel and hydraulic oil several times. Comfortable enough that I don’t rush to get them off as soon as I get home. I would consider getting them re soled if the price was any different from buying another pair. Will be buying another pair. ... show more
