Description

Introducing the latest Magellan series bass amplifier, the Magellan 350. Along with their larger Magellan 800, the MG-350 represents the pinnacle in the next generation in compact, lightweight, high-output, versatile, bass amplification. The Magellan 350 is the little brother of the larger Magellan 800 but only in relation to its smaller compact size. The MG-350 meets the same stringent design parameters for form, function, fit and finish as their larger Magellan 800. The feature set and 350 watt output power level of this tiny amplifier make it a "big boy" in its amplifier class. As well, the MG-350 delivers exactly what players have come to expect from the Genzler design team -- performance, versatility and reliability. From natural, pristine, transparent reproduction of the bass instrument to classic, vintage harmonic textures, the MG-350 provides the tonal pallet needed to cover all of the bassist's amplifier requirements and is ideal for electric or upright bassists.

  • Exceptional value, flawless tone.
I love this amp head. So easy to quickly dial in a precise tone that sits well in the mix. Effortless operation and reliable.

  • Great sounding reliable amp
I originally bought one of these amps to use for practice and small gigs with a Markbass cabinet. I figured it was super light, but not very much power, so it would do well for that purpose. Then, I brought it to a gig with the pretty loud Grateful Dead tribute band I play in and it sounded great through a Mike Arnopol MAS 210 Flex cabinet. Meanwhile, it became obvious that the Markbass cabinet was pretty dreadful, so I looked into a Genzler BA12-3 cabinet. That sounded great. And then I found another one and then another head used for a reasonable price, so I could utilize my stereo effects. Last weekend, I was playing a sold out club with a capacity of 450 people which had a slamming PA. Since the subs were under the stage and all I could feel was kick drum, I turned up the rig to match it and at set break the FOH guy asked me to turn down because I was off in the PA, it was too loud and he could feel the bass in his chest back at the mix position. I think I have all I need to manage any gig, from small coffee house type gigs to large venues (our gig this weekend is 18,000 capacity and we've already sold more than 8,000). The sound is great, the DI is great, and the EQ is super flexible. And the head weighs practically nothing. What's not to like? ... show more
