The description indicated it would work for my saw model but the screw holding the handle prevented it from sliding in the groove. I reversed the handle and it works adequately now. First of all, thanks to the person who modified this Miter for the BTS10S saw! My son-in-law got a 12" DeWalt miter saw and a Ryobi BTS10 table saw at a pawn shop for a really good price but the table saw did not have a miter attachment. I did the same thing as the other reviewer which worked very well. Here is a little more detail with photos. Photo 1: You can see the lips on the sliding bar that need to be ground off. Photo 2: I used my angle grinder to grind the lips off. The photo is not very clear but you can see I ground the lip until it just started removing paint from the 5/8" section. Make sure you remove all the lip (but do not grind into the 5/8" section) or you will have some nasty slivers. I then filed the flat surface and all corners/edges. Photo 3: This is the finished product. I sanded the bar with emery cloth then painted with black Rust-Oleum. I bought a new rip fence which was easy to find on-line and the arbor wrenches. Now, thanks to the other reviewer who modified this miter, my son-in-law has a complete table saw assembly! ... show more

    • Miter Saw Gauge worked after Minor Modification…
This miter gauge is accurate but the track is kind of thinner than I thought it would be compared to the OEM or aftermarket ones. It would not work at first… I had to install washers underneath each screw on top of the T-Track / under the miter gauge because the track did not go down low / deep enough to slide into the track rail on my table saw but that adjustment / modification fixed the problem I had using it on my table saw. Other then that it works great. The issue I had with it sitting on my tablesaw could’ve just been my tablesaw I don’t know if it might work fine on another tablesaw brand. Thanks ... show more

I bought this to go with my Ryobi Table Saw. I used it for the first time tonight and found that it doesn't fit the track well. It has a lot of play going side to side which caused some serious kickback and poor cuts. This was great value (cheap), but it didn't work as well as my original I was replacing. ... show more

Bought with the intent to modify to work on 5/8" slot as suggested by someone on line. Not a solid bar so would not have been able to modify and keep accurate. Not bad for price, but don't think it would have stood up to use.

I received a used Ryobi table saw that was missing this. Im used to the main guide being a solid block of steel and being built solid. This one is a thin stamped steel piece that fits into a uniquely shaped opening in the saw. I know this is how it was designed but it still feels cheap and flimsy to me. Does not fit guide rail on Ryobi BTS10, only the larger RTS10. Just an FYI. (BTS is 5/8” wide guide, RTS is 7/8”)

    • Worked for an Obsolete Miter AssemblyItem
I purchased this item to modify to work with a Ryobi miter assembly that is now obsolete and no longer available. The Ryobi BTS10S saw uses a miter assembly that has a 5/8 inch miter slot. I ground the lips off this miter and it was exactly 5/8 inch and worked perfectly. Now made my BTS10S saw 100% functional. ... show more
