The bag was almost certainly NOT made of genuine leather. Smells of plastics and chemicals. Waited a long time for it to arrive but then had to return it immediately because the quality was lacking.

Where to start. When I opened the packaging, the bag smelled like leather. It’s packaged well, and has a light dust bag. But it is very New York City Chinatown packaging. The stitching is great. You can definitely tell that areas of stress have been reinforced. Around the edges of the bag, it has some type of sealant to compress the double layers of leather. I say leather a bit loosely. As I said before, it smells just like leather. Perhaps the leather was stretched and rolled so thinly that it has a black fabric backing. One of the holes on the strap was not knocked out, and I looked at it with a loop. You can see the black fabric In the belt loop hole, as though the material is synthetic. There are closures inside the bag. It is a toggle and ring. Sadly, it is difficult to get the toggle through the ring to close the bag. The shoulder strap is a mesh nylon with the same buckle and the same leather like material. The colors are matched very well. I am going to see how the items from my other purse fit into this one. This purse is rather stiff and has very little give. The side buckles are on the last hole. At this time after opening, it appears to be a quality product. The jury still out if this is 100% leather. If you’re wanting to save thousands and have a dupe. This is the bag for you. I had heard that this bag was $66. It’s gone up, and will probably spike in price. ... show more

Although this bag is nice, it said it was calf leather. I don’t think it’s leather. It cost $105. I think I would caution I should’ve just went to TJ Maxx and bought a copy similar to this suede one which I initially wanted this is a Trick bag so fire beware not leather even though the description says it is. ... show more

You all know why you're buying this bag. It is a great dupe for the Margoux. Arrived early. Packaged stuffed and with structural integrity. No folds!! The 12inch is perfect day to day bag. Comes with a crossbody strap not pictured here. It's a guitar strap style crossbody. I don't use it. No weird smell like other similar bags. Comes with dust bag.
