After trying a few different sizes I found I print most of my functional prints with a 0.6mm nozzle. It is a good combination of speed and quality. Heat up your hot end, remove old nozzle, install new nozzle and tighten down. Its probable you will need to dial in your z-offset on your first layer once you switch nozzles. I found some of my older nozzles have some wear that impacted my settings slightly. I run custom start GCode that heats nozzle to 160, probes the bed level, then continues heating to printing temperature in order to minimize the oozing that I find is common on these larger nozzles. ... show more

I used this nozzle on my Prusa printer to experience how a larger size (0.6mm) nozzle works compared to the "standard" 0.4mm size nozzle. This 0.6mm nozzle prints about 25% faster compared to using the 0.4mm nozzle (20 hour prints only take 15 hours), without compromising print details too much. Considering I have not run into any issues, this part may very well be an original E3D V6 nozzle, but there are no markings on the nozzle, so hard to tell an original vs a clone just by eye inspection. ... show more

    • No size label on the nozzle
I was definitely disappointed after purchasing two different sizes of E3D V6 nozzles to see there is no size label stamped on the exterior. It would not have been hard at all for the manufacturer to indicate the size with a "6" or a "4" stamped on one of the empty flats on the side of the nozzle --- and, at this price, those labels should surely have been added. Now, I will have to take other precautions so I don't mix up the nozzles. I've seen other brands with the size indicated on the flats and, in the future, I will opt for them. How anyone can rate these as "excellent" without such a basic thing as size labelling is hard to comprehend. Maybe mine are one-offs. ... show more

ordered in September 2020, listing claimed was a GENUINE V6 E3D brand nozzle but that is confirmed not what i received. I have included magnified images of the listed item and a side by side comparison to a .4 nozzle that came with my Prusa MK3s. Easily several distinctions can be made between the two nozzles. E3D support has made available engineering prints that lay plain the discrepancies found in the listed item. I wrote this review because the nozzle i received is defective with a burr that blocks over the opening. No way am I installing that junk on my printer. The reason for two stars and not one is that shipping was fantastic and faster than stated (although this tiny nozzle will come in a massive 8x10 bubble envelope ... show more
