These candles are beautiful, functional, and pretty darn stunning to look at. I purchased myself some to light in front of a stained glass window which is in between a bedroom and dark hallway. They are beautiful from both sides and make going down a dark hall much more pleasant. They feel to the touch just like candles, offer a soothing, slightly flickering light, and come with a remote timer. The timer offers two, four, six, and eight hour automatic shut off. I go to sleep with them on, set to two hours. This function has worked perfectly every time. I also purchased the candle holders (Bezura Candlestick Holders) and the Amazon Basics AAA batteries on Amazon as well. I've enjoyed these so much I returned to order the exact same three items and gifted them. The recipient loved them as much as I. She ended up dividing the set to share with her teenage daughter. These tapers are real wax and are quite pretty. The ivory is a soft ivory and should blend nicely with most any decor. The flame itself doesn’t move, but it flickers from within and looks very realistic with the black wick. The remote provides a timer function and also lets you control the brightness. The candles add coziness and charm however you choose to group them and can be used in any room without having to monitor them as you would a real flame. Set them as desired using the remote, and then place the remote in a safe place as the company doesn’t offer additional remotes for purchase at this time. These battery operated tapers are very nice! They are packaged well and look beautiful. 5 of the 6 candles work perfectly with the remote which is why they are rated 4 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately one of the candles does not work with the remote - we need to turn it on & off separately, and it does not respond to the remote timer, mode or dim features. Otherwise they are as convincing as real burning candles. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love these candles! They are soft glowing and batteries last a LONG time. I hung these in my windows for Christmas and now have them hanging Harry Potter style in the living room. The wand remote is GREAT, it's pretty and well made, not bulky or cheap. I LOVE the timer feature, I use the wand to turn them on and onto a 6hr timer at 6pm and they automatically turn off at midnight and back on again at 6pm. A great feature of these candies is that they come pre-strung with fishing line at the tip of the flame, they hang straight, not wonky. Also, they're long and slender and clean looking, with a soft glow - other floating candles I've tried are OK, but they have more of an orange glow, are shorter, fatter, have more cartoonish shapes and molding to them, plus they hang crooked. These are more magical and whimsical rather than toy-like. I love them ... show more

We used these this past Christmas as window candles. Bought some cheap plastic bases for them and couldn't be happier with how they performed. The flicker flame mode looks so real I was afraid I'd get odd comments from neighbors on why I put REAL candles in my windows! The color is a warm yellow that accurately mimics a real candle flame. If you want to use them as dinner table candles, they look and feel like the real thing as the outer shell is made of actual candle wax - or it appears to be at least. They won't look like cheap plastic tubes next to your fine China. For Christmas, I set them all to come on at 4pm and stay on for 8 hrs. And through the whole season they did their job day after day for two full months. The batteries seem to still be good so I'll start with the same ones next year and see how long they go. Buy these! I bought these as I have kids and cats. I usually buy flameless candles for safety reasons. These are beautiful! The only issue I had was with the batteries. I love the remote as I can turn on the candles in separate parts of the room and at a distance. I can adjust the brightness according to the mood I want and they fit in typical candle holders. The flickering looks pretty real from a distance and it's perfect for my needs. Timer is great so I don't have to keep turning them on and off daily. The one downside is that the batteries don't last very long in them. I found I was changing them out quite often. I have other flameless candles that still have the batteries in them since before Christmas and they're still going strong. I have no idea why these drain down so quickly. I still love them and will keep them. ... show more

To begin with, I am very picky. These candles look very real. The light doesn’t move but it flickers lightly, so it really looks like a flame. The black wick also makes it look more realistic. I like the look of some melted wax at the top of top and that the candle is wax. They are a good size for a tall or short candle holder. Having a box of 6 is great, as many candle stick sets now come in a set of three. The remote control works well, and is convenient. Great price point too. I even got an extra 10 percent offer.
