There is much assembly required, and the learning curve is a bit steep if youāve never used a CNC router before. But the capabilities are nearly endless. So far Iāve done wood pieces but it appears to be capable of so much more. In a less than a week of working with it in my free time, Iāve been able to carve serval beautiful images Iāve purchased from Etsy. There seems to be support from many tool path creators, and the machine even comes with basic bits to get started.

Customer support is terrible. I have had my unit over 10 days now. It is just sitting there. I can not get the app to connect to my phone, needed to use the wifi module. I have written the email 3 times and no reply as of yet. No phone support, no live chat, just email. Also the app has a 2.3 rating with many having the very same problem...... for shame!

This is a great CNC router. There is a very steep learning curve if you do not have any experience with CAD/CAM. With that said, it is beginner friendly is most aspect, except it comes with the wrong collet for the included bits! It comes with a 1/4in collect, when it should have a 1/8in. Not a huge deal killer as I happened to have 1/4in bits around, but it lost a star for that as it is unusable without different bits or the correct collet. Assembly was pretty simple, I was actually surprised how quickly it went together. All the wiring is bundled together in spywrap nicely. All the wires are labeled nicely so you can get everything plugged in quickly. It took about 30 minutes to get it all together and ready to get started. After installing the included CNC software on my computer I was cutting the included test codes withing about 40 minutes of starting the assembly. After the initial test cuts, I changed the CNC controller program and went with G Sender. It works well with the machine and it a little more user friendly in my opinion. After numerous test to see how well it was going to work, I started on my own projects. I have been able to cut multiple projects, some taking 10 minutes, some taking several hours to finish. So far everything has been very accurate to my drawings and when making several copies, they all come out the same. The design is overall very nice. There are a lot of places dust tends to collect, but as long as you are good about using a shopvac to clean everything off, this should not be an issue. Everything included is high quality and this machine should last a long time! Overall, I would recommend to anyone looking for a small CNC machine! It is well worth the price point for everything you get.

This is an absolutely fantastic machine. I have never worked with a CNC before so there was and still is a lot of learning to do on how it works and which software to use with it. It does come with a recommended software, but should work with a variety of other options. The machine itself is incredibly well built and sturdy. It is very heavy and just barely fits on my 2' wide workbench. It's technically sligher larger than that, but if I pull the bench slightly away from the wall to get the back stepper motors room, the footprint will fit on a standard width bench. As I learn more about this machine I have discovered that it is also upgradable. Not only can you expand the size to 600x600mm or a massive 1000x1000m, you can also add a laser module to it. I have a couple small lasers (also from Genmitsu) and they are great, but I don't have anything this large so even at 400x300mm for the base size of this machine, adding a laser for larger cutting of pieces could be very useful. The few projects I have done on it have been amazing. It seems to be quite accurate and super durable. It is noisy and since there are bedrooms above the garage where I keep this, I tend to not run it at night, but the noise is to be expected given how a CNC works. Overall I am super satisfied with this machine and will definitely be looking at upgrades in the near future. I will need to get a larger workspace though if I plan to get one of the size upgrade kits.

This router sits in that space between hobby machine and serious desktop production tool. Itās not a toy, and it doesnāt behave like one. The first thing that stands out is the rigidity. The frame feels solid, and the linear rails give the machine a steady, planted feel during operation. Thereās noticeably less chatter compared to lighter desktop unit I previously owned. Cuts feel controlled rather than shaky, even at higher feed rates. The spindle is a meaningful upgrade from lower-powered entry machines. It has enough torque to handle hardwood and aluminum without constantly feeling like itās at its limit. Acrylic cuts cleanly, and aluminum work is realistic as long as speeds and tooling are appropriate. It doesnāt struggle the way smaller spindles often do. The Z-height is a practical advantage. It allows for thicker material and more flexibility in setups, including rotary work or taller stock. That added clearance makes the machine feel less restricted and more adaptable. Noise levels are reasonable for a CNC of this size. Itās not silent, but itās not overwhelming either. The control system runs smoothly, and the machine handles faster travel speeds without losing stability. Assembly is manageable thanks to the modular design. Itās not plug-and-play in the sense of a printer, but it doesnāt require a full weekend either. Most of the structure is pre-assembled, which reduces alignment issues and setup time. Wireless app control is convenient for monitoring and control, though I will still rely primarily on traditional CNC software workflows. The app adds flexibility rather than replacing core functionality. This machine rewards proper setup and calibration. When dialed in, it delivers clean, repeatable results with solid accuracy. Itās capable enough for serious hobby work, small production runs, and detailed projects across wood, plastic, and light metals. Itās not industrial equipment, and itās priced right. When you understand it's within the desktop CNC category, it feels sturdy, capable, and thoughtfully upgraded where it matters most.

This PROVerXL 4030S router is another great Genmitsu product and it performs very well. The parts coming off this machine are very accurate and precise for our use. The machine is easy to program and operate and the material is easy to clamp down to the surface. The machine can handle fairly thick material and the surface finish is very good. I use this machine to produce custom parts for a superconducting magnet research program and the parts come out right on spec. The machine is quiet enough to use in a shop environment but like most high speed routers there is some noise coming from the machine while cutting. The material I generally cut on this router is phenolic and the parts range in thickness from about 1/8 inch to 1 inch (3mm to 25mm). The parts I'm cutting are about 1 inch by 12 inch so the material fits on the work area without any problems and provide plenty of area for hold down. The router consistently holds 0.002 inch tolerances and compared to larger CNC machines the cost and value is great.
