The media could not be loaded. I ordered the Z4 with the stand, and I am very impressed with the ease of setup and its light and portable, and the fantastic build quality. The stand takes two hex screws and one thumb screw to assemble. It has a dual-sided plate, one engraved with scales and the other with raised divots for when you are cutting for airflow underneath. There is also a scale to measure the height of the platform. I don't see this on the info, but there is also a tiny arm that pivots to the surface of the item being engraved to get a good Stand for the laser which is nice. If there are any complaints, there are two design elements that I would change. First, I would add a second point of contact to the platform to provide stability when manipulating the platform up and down; the second element I would change would redesign the laser shield. Currently, it is used only with the laser itself magnetically. You need to remove it to use the laser with the stand; I would change the platform to accept the shield underneath it and put it on a sliding bracket to adjust the protection depth. The laser with the shield combo provides proper standoff for the laser, and the combo weighs less than a pound; my understanding is that the laser does not move but is directed and focused by mirrors, which is nice. The only con is that the structure of the laser and shield mislead you into thinking where the center of the project will be; only the 1st third of assembly is the working area which leads to a 2*2 cutting and engraving area. I have successfully run some test prints right out of the box; the software is limiting. You can only program to engrave or cut at one time. The phone software doesn't allow you to go back to put in a second operation even if you save the project because it converts size back and changes centers when you reload. There is no way to line up software same starting point precisely. The Software on PC does not have these quirks, and you can build complex patterns for different stages, though still limited to programming 1 stage at a time. Usable for small businesses, it may not be up to industrial use, but I expect something other than a 5.5w laser. Bought a Two Trees printer and returned it. Never could get it to work right. Bought this model and even I could figure it out so it has to be dummy proof.
