I always skeptical about purchasing electronic devices online. After researching many brands and digging behind their every companies self proclaimed performance, I purchased these Generark solar generators. The two aspects I was most concerned was how many watts the generators could actually produce, whether sustained or brief, and how fast they could charge via the solar panels. To test the generation of watts under a load, I immediately plugged my coffee maker into the generator and had a go at it (Note: I fully charged the generator before testing the wattage output). At peak draw from the coffee maker, the generator had no issues producing 1165 watts during brewing. I brewed several cups of coffee to sustain the load for about 10 minutes. The generator had no issue maintaining the necessary draw on it. I will say that consuming that much wattage consistently would probably deplete your entire battery in about two hours. Others may want a longer test, however, the longer test would only be necessary if you wanted to know how long it would take to deplete the generators entire battery over a certain time under that consistent load. That wasn't necessary for me seeing that if I didn't want to deplete my battery, I should use common sense and turn it off......just saying. I was impressed when charging the generators with the solar panels. I plugged the solar panels into the generator (late in the day when the sun was low) and within about 20 minutes the battery was already 10% about what it was when I started. I would suspect charging when the sun is at its highest and strongest, it would possibly charging quicker. Over all, I'm very pleased with this brand and size and would purchase again based on my current experience with them. ... show more

I have had my Generark for a few weeks now and have been able to charge it and test it on house appliances. It works. I have a propane house generator. It runs out of fuel in three to four days, leaving me dependent on an expensive refill that may or may not be available. The first tropical storm of the season will arrive tomorrow. It is good to feel absolutely prepared. I ordered two batteries and two sets of solar panels. They are also most useful in my traveling van, which until now, required an electric hookup to work the microwave, electric blanket, coffee pot, etc. I feel like the cost is money well spent. ... show more

I live in Florida and just went through hurricane Ian. This saved my refrigerator and I was able to use my cpap, charge my electronics and a fan. I used one generator for refrigerator and the other one in my bedroom. So easy to use! I was able to recharge with out using the solar panels but I did use them for a little while to see how it worked. It started recharging the generator fine. I would suggest getting another generator so you can take one to charge up with another power source. ... show more

I live in SW FL. I stayed thru Irma. My gas generator worked but I spent 5 hrs in line for gas. I realized that I could live w/o lights & AC, even 'tho it was 95, in the shade, 89 at night! I NEEDED my fridge, coffee maker & possibly microwave. I researched solar generators for a yr before I chose this one, for my BIG fridge. I tested my Generac immediately. First, my toaster oven, it would not work. Next, my microwave, it drained quickly but worked. The panels take approx 7hrs to recharge to 100% & ran my fridge for 7hrs & I made a pot of coffee & probably could have turned a lamp on, if Id been recharging the batteries as I ran everything. Warning! I purchased this solar powered generator with the hopes that it would power my home refrigerator and other small appliances as advertised. However, when I received the product and read the user manual I realized that it does not power the household appliances it advertised in the Amazon description. The USER MANUAL indicates that it would charge a car fridge - I do not consider a car fridge a household appliance. USER MANUAL states "if the home power one's total output exceeds 1,000 Watts it will automatically shut off". See attached images for evidence of what I'm saying. I reviewed the appliances that I have; refrigerator, a small plug-in Hot plate, toaster oven and all of them exceed a 1000 watt requirement. I don't know what home appliances they are referring to. I asked to return this item and they kept offering me partial refunds 20%, then 40% if I would keep the item, however, it's of no use to me if it doesn't power any household appliances! Every time I ask to return the item which it is it approved for return they have not provided with the appropriate number of shipping labels. This item was shipped to me in 4 separate boxes but they only provide return shipping for one and I have to pay for the shipping. They may or may not return all of the cost of the original purchase stating they may need to charge me stocking restocking fees. See attached images the first two are from the user manual and the other three images are from Amazon showing where it says it works with household appliances. ... show more

Great value. Seems to take longer than 8hrs to charge with solar panel. Never got over 90% fully charged. Works exactly as described. Runs portable AC unit for 7hrs before empty. Runs side by side fridge for 6hrs before empty. Carry on...

I have fully charged them and they lasted less than a day. I only tested one with a small fan. I am keeping them to charge cell phone, power a radio and lights in an emergency.
