  • After sitting for eight months, it was still fully charged.
This is the first and the largest power supply I bought. It sat for 8 months and decided I better top it off. I was very surprised that it is still holding full power. I do like my solar power devices. I use my lower wattage ones when I need an extra outlet. I am a long way from being an expert on these. This one can run one of my fridges or one of my small freezers. This is the best investment I've made in a power supply. I even found a small 200 W Personal space heater that can run off of this, if needed. I'm tempted to buy another. I paid more for mine than this price, so it would be a good time to buy another one. If they didn't change anything, I'll be happy with it. I bought this two years ago. It was under the name of Generark then. they change the name since then, but it's the same product. At the time I thought about a regular generator, but I didn't want to have to worry about storing all that fuel. I think now is a good time to start really thinking about this again, covid taught me be prepared in case of emergency. I've done that for 12 years but more so since Covid. I would recommend this. I have to say I've never tried to charge it with the solar panels that came with it, I'll do that soon. Like I said, I'm not real knowledgeable when it comes to these but I know the basics. ... show more

  • Very easy set up, efficient charging.
Arrived with 48% charge, hooked up the solar panels. After 4 hours charge was over 80%, used an inside wall socket to finish charge to 100% due to rain. Plugged a small refrigerator to it and it used about 14% charge per hour. Then tried it on our 50 in TV work very well, although the TV used more power than Iwould had thought, will use smaller TV during power outage. Very easy to set up to charge using the solar panels. Zipper pouches on the back of the panels are very convenient for storing the necessary wires. Very satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

  • Works great!!
I got this for the bus I'm converting. I couldn't be more satisfied. It charges quickly holds the charge well. I haven't used the solar panels yet but it's on my to-do list. Me and 2 others used it camping last weekend. I charged a cordless fan battery. Used a pod coffee maker many many times, and we all three kept our phones charged. I still have 67% left. This is a must have for boondock camping. Oh and it has a 5yr warranty! ... show more

  • Works well. Emergency backup, and portable power. Cannot handle sudden spike of power tool.
This combo of a storage battery and solar panels is some security for my old mom’s home, in case she should have a blackout like happened with a derecho years ago. The panels fold together for surface protection. They have wires that connect together and get pugged into the battery unit directly. There are eyelet holes for hanging the panels, or you can go around the back and use the kickstand. The wind did knock them over pretty easily, so I will put some hooks into her garage and make it so that they can be hung. The instructions explicitly warn that this equipment is not waterproof and shouldn’t be left out in the rain. Also on the back are a couple of USB ports for direct charging of electronic devices. I did not test this out, though. The unit has several outlets, both AC and DC. They all seem to work fine, after you hit the button above to switch that portion on. It charged about as quickly as I expected. Maybe 1% every 10 minutes in the sun. It also comes with a plug-in charger, so, its not like you have to use solar only/all of the time. It worked fine to charge my phone. I used a plug-in drill to build a wood platform. I also tried to use a small circular saw to cut wood planks and plywood. That did not go as expected. Each time the saw came upon some resistence, the battery power would go out, and After some seconds the display would shut down and I'd have to hit the power button again. It was not the greatest saw, but the wood was not particularly tough — pine 2x4s and normal thickness plywood. So, not like you would power through rebuilding your home after a disaster with this unit, I’m afraid. Still, it is a just-in-case option — should the power grid get shut down due to natural causes or unnatural human stupidity. It is rather expensive, though, for what it does — or rather what it doesn’t need to do most of the time. Just sit there snd be ready. The instructions say to use it at least 2x per year for healthy battery function. It also says that there will be some degradation of recharge — similar to cell phone battery or other rechargeables. So, again, this would be mostly for emergencies and uncommon occasions that require remote battery power. I don’t think it is worth $1,000 investment to power for common leisure or entertainment activities. Unless it is a really good party or opportunity! ... show more

  • Had one for a couple of years and wanted another
This is my second of these units. I have had the first one for a couple of years and wanted to get a second one both as a backup and to run additional items in case of a power outage.

  • First Solar Purchase I've Made
This little Solar Generator truly is a plug and play. No Gas to worry about. No trying to crank it up. When I first received it, it had a 23% charge on it. I plugged it into to a wall outlet and it took about 6 hours to charge it to 99%. I tried using my coffee maker to drain the battery so I could try out the solar panels. The 900w coffee maker while making coffee did use up alot of the stored electricity. I used it just playing around charging items until it got down to 26%. I attached the two solar panels and it took around 6 hours to charge to 99%. This one will not charge past 99%. I still LOVE it and it's GREAT to have as a power outage back-up!!!! If I had the funds, I'd purchase several more of these. ... show more

  • This product is a good product, but I wish it was less expensive.
I really like this product so far. It definitely deserves 5 stars. It is very portable, maneuverable and has a 5 year warranty. Feels very durable. Relatively light weight to me. I like how both the solar generator and solar panels have carrying handles. I charged the generator with both the AC wall outlet and the solar panels. It arrived at a 28% charge. It took 3 hours to get to 64%, using the AC wall outlet. I then charged it outside for 3 hours with the solar panels, and it went to 90%. So obviously the AC current was faster than the solar panels. Great to have both options. I got the charge to 100% the evening of October 1st using the AC wall outlet. It is 3 1/2 days later, and the charge is still at 100%, which is great! I highly recommend this product. Just wish the cost was less expensive. I paid about $1,482 Including sales tax. Wish it was closer to $1,000. ... show more
