So after reading another review on here I was a little hesitant, but I'm pretty handy, let me give it a shot, plus the price was right. After receiving it I do have to say the instructions were kind of a joke, it was one piece of paper straight off a copier machine, you are definitely going to have to read the instructions and then look at the pictures on Amazon. But honestly, it wasn't hard, kind of like putting together a tent for the first time, you scratch your head for a little bit and then it just goes together. The tubes are covered in protective plastic... It took all but 2 seconds to remove the plastic coverings, super simple I'm glad they're on there to protect the rods. From start to finish putting it together and installing on my boat probably took about 30 - 45 minutes, super simple. I did have to cut the rubber rings that fix to the wakeboard tower in order to get them on and the clamps around them. I think the quality is great, had no issues, and like that the fabric zips on and off so you can store it when you're not using the boat. Good quality, however didn’t fit on my 2008 Yamaha ar230 without modifications. The rear bar was too narrow even at its widest option. Had to make my own bar out of garage door hollow shaft. Worked after that. For most narrow towers this should work with ease.

THE GOOD: Looks good and finally have some shade on the lake. Fairly easy to install. Good price. THE BAD: Metal rods scratch very easily and are covered in plastic that is a pain to remove. Instructions in the box are terrible and the youtube video is of little help. RECOMENDATION: Put the fabric on before installing the straight, adjustable rod.
