  • Very handy and holds the charge
I have a few Geneverse power stations. They are easy to use and easy to charge. I've used them during power outages and when doing an outdoor show, where no electricity was available. I recommend this battery back up to anyone looking for a source of power for lights, phone charging, and small appliances. ... show more

  • Works Quite Well
I wait to do this review until we had a really bad power outage. We had one that last 10 hours so I took the fully-charged unit out and set about charging multiple mobile devices. Then I plugged into the refrigerator that had been without power for about 6 hours. The freezer temps was at 31; the top part was as 50. The unit soon began churning away. (The noise was acceptable.) It took 90 minutes for it to stop and had used 20% of its total capacity. I figure that’s about right. It saved me from having to dump everything when the power finally came back on. Next time, since we never know how long will last, I’m going to plug the fridge in at the beginning of the outage. Kudos to a fine product. ... show more

  • This unit takes 7-10 hours to recharge
When I first used this using I realize that it’s charging time was twice what I expected taking up to 10 hours for a full charge compared to five hours shown on the website. I have since returned this unit and purchased the homepower pro version which recharges in two hours and is much better suited for my application. ... show more

  • Very Impressed. Very Happy!
We live in a rural area, close to the Pacific coast, so lose power at least 5 times/year - usually at the worst time! We have a pellet stove and when the power goes out, if the gas generator won't start, it's all windows open and start fanning to keep the smoke from building up and setting off the fire alarm! Did my research and decided on the HomePower One. It's so small compared to the gas generator!!! I plugged it in to charge the batteries. We lost power about 3 days later so I plugged the pellet stove in to go through a shut down procedure (that takes about 20 minutes). And I plugged in my phone to recharge. After the stove shut off I still had 93% power in the power pack. We've used one other time since and it's only down to 86% This is HUGE for us! There's no generator running in the background. I can store it close to where I need it. I have a power strip plugged in (on "OFF") so all I have to do is walk over the the HomePower ONE, lift it by the sturdy handle, take it over by the stove, plug the stove into the power strip, turn on the power pack then turn on the power strip and -- sigh -- it just so easy. Love it!! ... show more

  • Works as expected, would buy again
Bought this to provide battery backup to a fridge freezer, so that we don't have to run the generator all the time, particularly to avoid running it at night. First impression is that it is smaller and lighter than I expected. Very portable. Tested the battery yesterday - it powered the fridge freezer for 11 hours, with the battery dropping to 30% capacity. This means the load was 700 w/h over 11 hours, which is an average rate of 64w. This is a modern digital inverter fridge/freezer which is fairly efficient. The downside is that it would then take 5 hours to re-charge the battery from 30%, with the supplied charger. Wish the charging was a little faster. So far the unit has exceeded my expectations. Might buy another to run a CPAP overnight. ... show more

  • Tradeshow power
Purchased this to run 40inch tv and light in a trade show display. Over 8 hours running. And still 53% battery left! I'm so impressed I tried to my trade show friends about it and they are looking into buying one for their booths as well.

  • Helping us out during the California power outages
I have 3. One for the refrigerator, gives me about 7-hours. One for the internet, cable box, and Tv, which give me about about 5-7 hours. And a 3rd to swap in and out while one is charging. So far, I like it. Not too loud, I can lift it so the weigh it’s ok. Easy to use. I’ll check in after 12 months to confirm battery holds charge. ... show more

  • This Has The Power To Save
I just got this, and I haven't yet hooked up a Solar Panel, but I used it the other night for my nebulizer treatment. That u sed 2% of its reserve and it didn't take long to restore to 100% capacity from wall current. We are having thunder and lightning every day here. It is summer, and this is classical weather. So far no power outages, but it's also hurricane season, so I feel a lot more prepared. So, this is a marvelous device. It took me three tries to get to the Generark. I bought less powerful devices, but realized their utili;ty is limited. I could even run our refrigerator for a while with this one at 1000 Watts. ... show more
