  • 4 drops more accurate
Style: pH Test kit Size: Kit
I think this product is extremely accurate. I did in fact notice a slight difference between adding 3 or 5 drops to the vile as directed in the instructions. 3 Drops gave me a good reading but 5 drops definitely gave me a more intense reading in which ever direction the PH was. If it was low with 3 drops it was a bit lower with 5. The same goes if I had a higher PH level with 3 drops but with 5 it went up a complete point! Either way I like the product and I personally would average it out as directed and go to 4 drops. I think that gives me my best reading. ... show more

  • Clueless?
Style: pH Test kit Size: Kit
Two weeks flowering I've used General Hydroponics HGC722145 pH Test Indicator every time I grow. It's this or another brand-otherwise you're clueless taking care of your plants. The instructions say to use 3-5 drops per test: I'm using 4-5 drops for these two plants. Previously I used three drops and am not seeing a difference: except the fluid is going down much quicker than in the past. I think it's time to go back to three drops. Using the color chart to see what your Ph level gives you a good idea, which in time guides you through the testing. ... show more

  • THIS IS FOR CALIBRATING PH METERS!!! NOT FOR PH'ING YOUR NUTRIENT WATER!!
Style: Calibration Solution Size: 1 quart
I felt i needed to clarify what this product is used for, because of all the reviews stating they used this to ph their water or nutrient water. GH has a product called "ph up" and "ph down," and that's literally what they're for. This liquid product which is green in color is specifically for CALIBRATING YOUR DIGITAL PH METER!!! And also is suitable for using as electrode storage solution. You put this in your ph cap that your ph meter goes into and it helps preserve it and makes it so your meter doesn't take a thousand years finally deciding what the ph is. Do we all understand what this is for now??? Good!!! : ) ... show more

  • Works as Expected - Good Value
Style: Calibration Solution Size: 1 quart
In my opinion the General Hydroponics brand is rock solid. I have used a lot of their nutrients and maintenance products and always find them to be the highest quality. This product is no exception. If you care about PH, and you should, regular testing and re-calibration of your meter is essential. For me the 7.0 is perfect since I operate in the 5.5-6.5 PH range. I used to use the 4.0 as well to verify the calibration settings but over time found the 7.0 to be sufficient. I was checking my meter once a month or so and it was not often enough so I decided to get the larger bottle so I can test my meter more often. I use the small paper Dixie cups you use in the bathroom for kids and toss them afterwards as it's best to not reuse the solution. This bottle should last a long time. Definitely recommend this for checking/calibrating any PH meter that has this feature. ... show more

  • Product on point.
Style: pH Up Size: 1 quart
The ones complaining about this being weak want a pH of 14 lol. If you read the ingredients before you buy, potassium carbonate has a pH of around 11.5. This product is testing around 11.2. If you aren't happy with that then go buy some raw potassium carbonate. You don't need a pH of 14 for this product's use case, in fact you'll probably shock your plants into a quick death. This stuff stores for a while too so I can't imagine anyone getting a bad bottle. ... show more

  • Works just as described it's a pH lower only not nutrients as one guy had said
Style: pH Down Size: 1 gal
It works you need a ph meter, it depends on the nutrients you use. And yes every couple days you will have to adjust it... why because your plants are eating food drinking water and as your nutrients level goes down your pH level will start to raise. Rule of thumb when you need to use pH Up. It means it's time to change your tank rule of thumb no more than two weeks and you should be changing your nutrients for healthy plants. It works as designed the few people that say they wish it lasted longer while your plants eating food that's why your pH level changed slept a good thing. With what I'm using I have a 50 gallon tank. After I mix my nutrients roughly 4 tablespoons is all I need in about every 2 or 3 Days 1 tbsp to keep my pH level on balance. Very important to keep your pH if it's too low you've going to deprive your plants and if it's too high you're going to deprive your plants of much-needed nutrients your lock out there food. Can you buy a cheaper yes of course she can like anyting ... show more

  • As advertised
Style: pH Test kit Size: Kit
The labeling is a little hard to read due to small bottole. However only way to improve that would to be sending a small card with instructions and/or color chart for PH scale. Otherwise is as advertised.

  • Easy to use calibration solution.
Style: Calibration Solution Size: 1 quart
The general hydroponics 7.0 PH solution is great for the meters that have a manual calibration screw. It’s so much easier than using the powdered packets. If you have an auto-calibrate meter, chances are, it’s set to calibrate to 6.86 I use about half of a shot glass before use on any of my pen type ph meters. This bottle lasts forever doing that way. ... show more
