Update 3/5/23 - about a month into wearing the coat it started developing these lumps within the fabric all along the seams... I'm certain it's a buildup of whatever material is inside.. I haven't washed it so I don't why that started happening.... It feels awkward when driving because my arm sits on the arm rest while driving and you can feel lumps all in the way.. I really want to give it 3 stars because it really is a lot of lumps but I'll just leave it... It really keeps me warm and I went thru so much finding a coat to fit my long arms... I would only buy it again if Columbia doesn't have my size in the coat I want (that's what brought me here to begin with lol) ... You can feel it with your hands as well but it isn't noticeable to the eye because my coat is big (at least I don't think so)... Also if you got a larger size like me you should wear a scarf on windy cold days because your body will be nice and warm until that air creep in in the space by your neck lol... Cold!! So I don't plan on buying it again next year.. I'll do a better job with getting my regular winter coat earlier so that my size isn't gone... Hopefully this coat will last another winter just in case.. I don't see why it wouldn't.. OK, so when I tell you guys that I went through 7 different versions of THIS particular coat it is truly unbelievable! You really have to pay attention to detail because you think all the coats and colors are the same style but I found out that they are not... First of all I had to buy two different sizes because I'm tall with very long arms and my problem with most coats are that the arms are always short.. So I gotthe XL and 2XL in each style/ color that I was buying.. oh, I'm 5'11 198 pounds 42DD (that's important to know for comfort) and my arm inseam is 28 inches. Told you I'm tall with long arms lol The body of the XL was perfect but the arms were a little short and because of my big breasts if I wrapped my arms around (like a fake bear hug) it would feel snug around the shoulders and arm pits.. The 2XL was much better.. The thumb really makes a difference, which is what I wanted, because it gives you an easy extra 2 inches of fabric.. Now I will say that when my thumb is actually inside the hole that space feels tight... The body is loose, but I expected that because I don't usually wear a 2XL.. My normal size is XL or size 14 Luckily by the time I got this one I had unfortunately went through 6 other different styles by the same company so I knewwhat I wanted lol... I specifically wanted and needed the thumb hole as well as the drawstring waste because, as I mentioned, I knew the body was going to be too big for me... The gray colors and maroon color DOES NOT have that drawstring.. So be careful when ordering.. I found out the hard way and I hadthe worst time with Amazon messing up my return process with these coats... I'm in NY and it's coollldddd here... Without any sweater on underneath just long sleeves I haven't been cold yet... The pockets are deep but they are not lined.. the hood is lined though..... I haven't taken pictures yet cause so had time for that in the cold lol... But I'll get around to it when my husband is off... This is my first time in like 10 years having a winter coat that is waist level... My last coat was from Columbia it was to my knees and perfect with thumb holes and it lasted well over 6 years... But they don't sell that one anymore and the ones they have don't have the thumb hole.. I need that extra fabric for length in my sleeves (cause I have long arms guys, I'm not kidding) Lol, it fits my body so you can't tell.. But trust my shopping for coats and long sleeves has always been a pain.. Thankfully i love summer and warm weather so when the winter time comes I don't mind looking Manish yet comfortable because all my coats are big lol. I will update with pictures at a later time... But yeah, make sure if you want drawstring and thumb holes to get this color (Navy).. A lot of the other colors only have one or the other... Oh and it has a snow skirt skirt inside... 4 stars because it's not tested in the snow yet and there were a few hanging strings that I hadto cut off.. Very warm so far and the rain seems to bounce right off.. I didn't stand in it long but that was good

So we just went skiing as a family for the first time so we had to buy a bunch of gear ... my wife and I bought similar heavy coats (practically same coat, different brands). We went skiing 2 days and snow mobile-ing one day. This coat was much too heavy for skiing! I never even zipped it up and soaked it with sweat. All I wore under it was a cotton t shirt and thin polyester long sleeve shirt. The coat was soaking wet from sweat inside after about 3-4 hours. When we stopped to eat I ended up changing into a thin feather puffer jacket for the rest of the day. For snow mobile-ing, however, it was perfect! I wore the same thin layers underneath and was great for the 3 hours I was in the coat. It was perfect against the snow and whipping winds. We stayed dry and warm but not overheated. I think the difference is skiing you are exerting yourself and working up a sweat and just don’t need that much of a coat to stay warm. The second day I wore the jacket thin feather puffer jacket with a waterproof shell on top and that was plenty even on a colder, snowier day. The snow mobile day we were just sitting but it was snowy and windy, and the coat was great against the cold wind! We live in Arkansas and I’m not sure I’ll have much use for the coat in the future but I feel like it will last for years to come and hopefully I’ll get some more use out of it. I live in Texas and we don’t get really cold weather except for a few weeks out of the winter. However, we get a lot of cutting wind. This jacket has been great for the mild to harder winter weather, including rain and high winds. It snugs up tight around the face, hands and waist. It is waterproof and blocks the wind. We recently had 19 degree weather and this jacket kept me toasty warm and it’s just so dang cute too!! Gotta love that!

I absolutely love this jacket! I don’t ski or spend much time outside in the cold because I have circulation problems. I lived in Massachusetts for 47 years - shoveling myself out to get to work (I was a nurse). WHERE was this jacket then??! Now, I’m disabled and live in South Carolina, HOWEVER, it gets COLD here, too! This jacket keeps me warm and I love it in red!!!

After 20 years of never wearing a winter coat, the cold, frigid winter weather finally got to me and I had to go coat shopping. I hated all the coats I found in stores, they were all way too puffy or long, or ugly puffy and long lol. I LOVE this one. After reading hundreds of reviews, this one had everything I was looking for. It’s not too thick, but it is very warm. The thumb holes are great and one of the main reasons I chose this coat. It has pockets galore. It’s a wee bit longer than I prefer (hits me just over mid thigh), but I did order a 2X, I could have gone with the next size down to be honest. It’s definitely more than roomy enough to layer underneath. Can easily wear a hoodie, t-shirt and tank top all at once, but even if you’re just in a t-shirt, it’s so warm and comfortable.

I was really nervous about getting this due to reviews reporting other customers received the coat with damage. I am 5’ and weigh about 125 pounds and I purchased a medium. It is much bulkier than the picture shows. Unfortunately I was correct in being apprehensive as there is a cut on the front side of the coat. I assume the person opening the inventory used an exacto knife to open the package and sliced the coat. The cut on my coat was not as large as others reported but that’s not the point. I decided against going through the hassle of returning or requesting a new one as I know it won’t be worth the trouble. The coat is very warm and worth it if your lucky enough to not get damaged product!

I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this jacket on and found many hidden treasures like the thumb strap stitched in my cuff to keep the wind out and yet hidden and the material will wrinkle it is still the best Jacket ever and love all the pockets as I walk my dog
