I saw some people suggested getting one size smaller. I normally wear XL but ordered the L and it was very snug. I returned it, no problem and got the XL. Mine is solid black. I'm 6ft 1 and 240lbs. It arrived two days after I returned the smaller one! That was cool. I tried on my coat and I am really impressed. It fits me just right. The coat is warm but not suffocating and it has room for a sweater. So you don't have to have six-pack abs to wear it. Nice warm deep pockets. The fabric and zippers very sturdy and I anticipate it will last a while. Not only is this coat very comfortable, it is really nice looking. It's like the company asked me what I wanted in a coat. I mean it. I wore it again this morning with the hood in 38 degree driving rain. With just a shirt under it and the hood, I was perfectly comfortable and dry. I initially thought the hood was too big so I remove it for decent weather. In the rain it's like an umbrella in that not a drop fell on my head or face and it's warm too. This is a really good coat! You don't need anything fancier or more expensive. For the price, it's a great deal and I look good in it, that's priceless! I'm going to order another color. Well done guys. Make more stuff like this!

Great jacket - purchased for my son for our snow trip over Spring Break it was just perfect. He was warm and snug the entire trip, and often even a little too warm at times. He looked great in it as well. I was super pleased at it's value for the price. He hiked with snow shoes down Winter Park mountain for two hours and spent an hour snow tubing on a windy day with 20 degree temperatures and was completely warm all day. We climbed to the summit of Pike's Peak, this time the temperature were in the teens and it was so windy we could barely walk to fight the wind. He said he was never cold! I'm so glad that I purchased this jacket for him! I struggled with what to purchase because we live in Texas and I knew he'd barely wear a jacket like this again, so I really didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on an expense name-brand jacket. My son is 6'1" and weighs 150. He's very lanky and lean. I purchased a Large and it was a good size on him falling a little below his waist and providing a little extra room for him to wear his big hoodies underneath.

This is one heck of a very well made solid coat. Zippers are strong and sturdy, pockets are great esp the inside right vest mesh pouch, hold my flat water bottle perfectly when skiing. That pocket is actually quite large as well. Nice fuzzy fleece inside. Length goes just below your waist to cover your back when leaning forward on skis. Collar wraps nicely up and around the back of your neck. The sleeves even have a thinner piece of fabric that has a thumb hole to keep your sleeves down and in place, and allow your glove to come up and overlap that area, sealing you tight. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE is that it is a bit heavy, but I did not notice it when skiing. Kept me warm at 28 degrees, that was my coldest day in this coat so far. I would recommend this coat, especially at this price. This coat could easily cost $300+ if it had a name brand label in a ski shop.

We like the fit, comfort, and quality of this coat. The inner lining is plush and feels great against the skin. This coat is relatively thin with little lining to keep me warm enough for winter, when worn alone. However, it did keep me fairly warm when used as an additional layer. The coat repels water well. A good coat, but for its price, better options are advisable.

This is the third jacket of this brand I have purchased. At only $55, it is well worth it, and more well known brand name that sells for four times this much doesn't come close to the quality of this one. I got the peacock green one this time--such a bright, vibrant color--and it has the little things you want in a ski/winter jacket. Such as inner sleeves with thumb holes to keep the snow out, storm flap with large snaps and velcro, two interior pockets, adjustable cuffs and waist hem, plus a loop for hanging and one to corral your headphone cord. Plus, it has warm "fur" lining and it's wind and waterproof as well. Just because you have never heard of the brand, doesn't mean it's inferior, but quite the opposite!

Just got it. First impressions is that I really like it. Don’t know how it holds up to water and or snow, but I like the liner and the fit and it’s just seems cozy and warm. It has a combo of zipper and Velcro. I like the cozy/warm liner in the hood. I got orange because I wanted to be easy to find on the ski slopes for my family! Four pockets too. Generous sized zipper pocket on the inside is nice. Good value for the money.

I’m a former ski racer and instructor. I’ve bought too many warm jackets. This Gemyse wind proof, water proof, fleece lined, exceptional coat (jacket, parka) keeps me warmer than any coat I’ve ever worn. The price is fantastic. I’m tall, maybe lean. No coat has fit me better in length, shoulders, and pocket placement than any other I’ve ever worn. My only gripe would be the thicker Velcro cuff clamps, they catch on things and pull open.

I originally wanted to buy the women's version, but it was sold out. With a ski trip approaching, I decided to take a chance on this jacket. I checked the size chart and was unsure whether to choose an XL or XXL. After reading reviews from this site and others, I went with the XL, and I'm so glad I did! The jacket fits perfectly and is exactly as described. I tried it on with a fleece shirt, sweatshirt, and my snow bib, and it felt just right. It’s incredibly warm, featuring a soft fleece lining throughout, including the hood. The jacket has plenty of functional pockets, which I find very handy. I especially appreciate the thumb holes in the sleeves, as they allow for better movement while snowmobiling and snow tubing. The adjustable Velcro cuffs, snaps on the jacket, and drawstrings in both the hood and jacket are fantastic features. I highly recommend this jacket!
