I really like the device, it was received as advertised, on time and in good condition. Good Job, Amazon! Just my opinion: It was 19F when I started work yesterday and its 11F this a.m. I typically wear latex palm gloves to improve material handling and to keep my hands warm. Two problems arise in use of the GemRed: The control buttons are 1) too closely spaced and 2) too small. Thirdly, the glossy vision panel over the LCD is hard to read in sunlight--don't know what you can do about it but a fix would be helpful. The display timeout feature is helpful because minimal movement re-activates the display while in a leg pocket. A competitor's model provides a third button that divides the result by 2 for direct readout (nice feature), although if you can't perform that function, you probably shouldn't be using a saw :>) Thanks!! ... show more
