This is such a great craft for my 7 and 5 year old daughters. My girls enjoyed working on these for hours! I provided some supervision with replenishing the gems as needed so there would be less of a chance of epic spills, but they could have done it independently with a little instruction at the beginning. The only way they could make it better would be to include a second stylus so two people could work on it at the same time. We just found one from a previous set and that worked fine. There are a variety of craft sizes (big, medium & small) and types (key chain, sticker, necklace, suncatcher, picture). There are a good amount of gems, and the organizer is a valuable addition! I bought this for my 7 year old daughter’s birthday and she loved it. Her 10 year old sister couldn’t wait to do it with her too. The gems are a bit of a mess though and the organizer is pretty much useless if you aren’t basically doing them all in one sitting. One packet of gems fills easily can fill up 3 of the 12 sections after using what you need for the one picture. That wouldn’t be a problem if you didn’t need to open like 6 colors. The organizer should be large to hold all of the gems included. I ended up using snack size ziploc bags instead to keep them separated. ... show more

Picked this up for my little one and she loved it. She had so much fun with it I bought a second one as a gift for a friend of hers to give her at the upcoming B-Day party. Its simple, easy, fun, and you get about what you'd expect at this price point. I take an approach of a simple thing here in that your buying something that creates experience where as a toy might be something a kid uses more than once but maybe it doesn't generate the memory crafting with your family will do.
