As we approach maturity over 40s, we are told that black can often be harsh on our eyes as far as eyeliner. This is a great eggplant chain to give your eyes that bit of pop. It is very creamy consistency and glides on your eyelid very smoothly. it creates a beautiful wing and lasts all day. I really like this eyeliner. The application is easy and yet it comes off easily as well. It doesn’t last all day, I wouldn’t say it’s waterproofand you have to sharpen the pencil, because itdoes not come with a sharpener. But overall, it is my go to.

    • Goes on easy and stays on all day!
I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to because I absolutely LOVE this eyeliner!! I was having an issue with other eyeliners not going on my lids at all or actually erasing the line I just drew on my eyelids. This eyeliner goes on smooth, doesn’t erase the line I’m going over (for a darker line) AND stays on all day without smudging! I’ve also had issues with other “waterproof” eyeliners rubbing off on my upper eyelid, leaving an unattractive line, but this eyeliner does not! If you like a brownish-black eyeliner, the Chestnut color goes on light, but transforms into a deeper brown with more coats. Be careful how much pressure you use because it is a gel eyeliner, which makes it a bit softer and breaks off if you’re not gentle. Another awesome feature is that it washes off easily with a regular face wash. I highly recommend this eyeliner! ... show more

It is NOT smudge-proof, nor does it stay on. Unless ur one of those ladies that doesn't touch her face accidentally or, when u swim, wipe ur face with a towel, this eyeliner is only good for not getting ur face wet at all, so don't even think about sweating ladies! In the pics, I'm showing how I did all of the above to prove a point. No soap or makeup remover was used, just water for the racoon eye look & a towel for the disappearing act. The first one is where I touched the corner of my eye accidentally. Hey, I'm no pro, but I am old enough to know when i have been deceived. There are some good things about the eyeliner, it glides on effortlessly & prob would stay put as long as u don't touch or swim after application. I haven't had it long enough to know if there's a lot inside the pencil. I'm assuming it's as much as it is long. The only way to sharpen it for a finer line is with a separate sharpener. Then i can only assume it won't last long since most of it will come off onto the sharpener, in the trash can. Although, some might like that Morticia Admas look. At least u don't have to buy separate makeup remover to get it off ur eyes. I just wish it wasn't advertised as waterproof or smudge-proof or hypoallergenic bc I'm starting to feel the burn after the water rinsed it into my eyes. That's my biggest issue with eye makeup, can't find any that doesn't bother my eyes. So tired of trying! ... show more

If I could give this a negative rating, I would. What I got is not the product in the amazon picture. My liner crayon came in a plastic tube with no way to advance the crayon. Furthermore, when I put the cap on the back of the liner to hold it, and then took it off again, it took the end piece off with it. Now the end piece is lodged in the cab and I can't even put the cap back on! It's not possible to sharpen this liner because it would require sharpening a plastic tube, and then the very soft crayon gel would mush in the attempt. I have no idea what's going on here except that maybe this company made a mistake and produced a bunch of lemons that can't be sharpened and then is just selling them off to suckers. At $7 + some change, it's too cheap to try to get a refund, so just listen to my warning. I saw another warning of the same thing. And actually, if I DID get the kind that could be sharpened, I can't imagine how sharpening would not rip off the very soft crayon material. The only reason I got this liner over the one I love from Palladio is that this one got a EWG certification and my dark brown Palladio liner is rated at a green # 2... Still very good for toxicity, but not as good as EWG certified. Going back to my favorite Palladio eyeliner. That one can be advanced by twisting the end, it's soft and creamy, and works wonderfully well. Buyer beware on this one! ... show more

    • Great, but BEWARE of what color you buy!
I got this eyeliner in green and plum. The green is great, I really love it, it's just as pictured, and it stays on for more than one could expect. I also like that it doesn't seem to have toxic ingredients. I also love that you can sharpen it (even if it looks like it is not sharpenable, it is!) However, the plum one gave me a terrible reaction that caused an infection. Thinking it was a bad one, I ordered it again, and same reaction! But the green is totally fine. So, order knowing that! ... show more
