I received these lights on June 28th 2023. As of August 5th 2023, there is a 47% defect rate. I purchased 32 of these lights. So far I've had to replace seven because the lights would stay on in direct sunlight. But do you think they would come on when it was dark? Nope. On top of replacing the seven, I've had to replace the batteries in eight of the others. And yes, they received plenty of sunlight. I had other lights which I purchased from two other vendors here on Amazon (installed before these lights) side by side with these lights (decided I wanted to add more) and I have had absolutely no defect rate or bad batteries in any of those lights. I would return them, but the return window closed on July 28th 2023. DO NOT BUY THESE LIGHTS! YOU WILL REGRET IT! UPDATE: As of 10-08-2023 I have now had to replace an additional eleven batteries. Out of 32 lights I had to replace seven (7) defective lights and had to replace batteries in nineteen (19) of the lights in just over three months. That's a total defect rate now of 81% in just over three months. I have purchased other solar lights where the batteries lasted at least two years. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. Like I said before, DO NOT BUY THESE LIGHTS! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! UPDATE: It is now 10-28-2023. Out of 32 lights I have now had to replace 19 of the batteries and I have had to replace 9 lights because the lights would stay on in direct sunlight and would not charge the batteries. That's a total of 28 of 32 defective lights. That's a total defect rate of 87.5%! It has been exactly four months since I received these lights. It would be one thing to have to replace the batteries as I would have upgraded them to a higher mAh rating so as to get the lights to stay on most of the night if not all night long anyway, but to have to replace 9 of 32 (28% of the lights) lights because the lights would stay on in direct sunlight and not charge the batteries? Love these! Easy to install, look good and put out just enough light to light the way up and down the steps on my decks! Anybody who complained about the "low light" can't read or is too dumb to understand what step lights are. This is a great product and highly recommended!

Great idea and price. However, if you live in Florida, using the tape on your fence is not a good idea. The quantity is very generous if you have a large area to add light to....but don't expect bright lighting. It's very demure or faint.
