Lesson learned: no matter how busy you are, test everything first while you can still return it! I’ve owned this kit for a few months & just used it for the first time. Man, do I look horrible! The bulbs are very bright and WHITE. I am a fair-skinned, naturally pale woman with medium blonde hair. Medium meaning I’m not as dark blonde like Jennifer Aniston, but I’m not platinum, either. Like most blondes, top hair is naturally lighter than hair underneath and, admittedly, it’s very typical for your hair to come off differently (lighter/darker) on camera from pic to pic given light sources, etc. But these lights completely washed out my skin and made my hair look yellow-orange! Not good for real life pics & DEFINITELY not good for casting directors who need to see your real colors! I’m hoping I can talk to the manufacturer to get different bulbs or something, because I cannot use these for any other audition, and no one I know would want to buy them! Word to the wise, if you were hoping to get a light kit that will illuminate your natural self, this will NOT be of any help. It might also be worth noting that my backdrop and watch band are pitch black, but with these lights, they look like a washed out charcoal, so I imagine folks of all colors would look washed out as well, not just light-skinned folks. They’re TERRIBLE and a HUGE WASTE of money!!!! ... show more

    • Not bad lighting set for the price. The bag is pretty flimsy though.
Easy assembled, seems bright enough. (Haven't tried it out on set yet.) Though it comes with its own bag to carry all the components, the bag is not any too big, (really takes some practice to get all the pieces back in the bag) and it's of pretty flimsy materials. (Take it easy on the zippers. They don't look/feel like they'll stand much strain at all.) ... show more
