Very capable laptop for photographers.
I'm an amateur photographer that relied on a Dell XPS 13" laptop with a great display. It was time to replace. I was looking for a 16" laptop with a16:10, good detail and a bright screen and good color rendition. After looking at the specs of leading brands, they were either expensive, lacked storage or lacked ports. I wanted one with a micro SSD slot. This X16 laptop checked all my boxes and after using it for a month it met all my expectations. It's an amazing light weight laptop for a very reasonable price the others can't match. With the rising cost of memory and storage, this is quite a deal. It runs Windows 11 quickly without noticable heat on my lap. Darktable photo app is much quicker on here. Geekom has been a leader in desktop mini computers. This laptop proves their enginering expertise.

Log in issues.
Had high hopes for this product due to some of the reviews on here and product reviews on YouTube. But I had issue with this on day one. Not only did I not get the USB-C adapter pictured on the listing, after setting up the computer it did a windows update and restarted after which it would nut key me sign in, it did not recognize my finger print, my PIN code, or password to let me in, the screen kept flickering between the lock screen and the log in screen, I had to do a factory reset and tried to set it up again only to have the same issues. I didn’t even gat a chance to use it before all of this happened so I opted to return it and save my self future problems.

A Lot to Love But Too Much Wrong for Me
I bought this laptop on April 9; I received it on April 11. I will be returning it this weekend, May 1. First, it needs to be emphasized that Geekom's support service is top-notch. We very much tried to make this laptop work for me, but it wasn't meant to be. Because of that experience, I will give them another opportunity to earn my business down the line, but likely with their Mini PC line instead. My issues began as soon as I booted this laptop up the first time. Even though the GeekBook (I bought the U5 variant since I had a 4TB drive available to swap in) has a top-notch processor for a laptop this size, the fans were running, and running hard, immediately. Given the "IceBlade" technology, I wasn't expecting that. A quick discussion with some friends even geekier than I suggested it could be because of the whole Windows install/update process, and I shrugged it off at that point. But it continued and has gotten progressively worse. The fans are running almost constantly, and they aren't even the "whisper-quiet" described in the photos. And I tried adjusting the fan modes to no avail. It sounds like a small jet engine is taking off in my living room. Things are freezing frequently now; it took me 3 tries to get the Geekom PC Manager open for the screenshot I've attached. After a few days with this, I got in touch with support, and they have been nothing but phenomenal, trying everything they could to both troubleshoot my issues and offer solutions to other minor issues that showed up along the way. One of those other issues is the touchpad; though the listing shows a "comfortable pressing area", I can only get it to click at the extreme far corners, which leads to a lot of frustration, especially in trying to highlight text. This too was an area we tried to resolve, including different drivers, none of which expanded that area to something more usable. When I ended up spending another $40 on a mouse (a Logitech G305 Lightspeed), and with the fan issues showing no signs of improving, I realized it was time to throw in the towel. Even after letting the Geekom support know that I'd be returning this laptop, they still offered to let me send it to them and receive a new replacement unit. But I didn't feel like that would improve things, so I'm doing the return via Amazon instead. There's a lot to like about this laptop. It's ridiculously light, and as I mentioned, it's got a fantastic little processor. The screen and the camera are both superb, and the keys have a nice clickiness to them that makes typing comfortable. Wifi 6E works fantastically; I never once had it randomly disconnect from my network, which I couldn't say about the laptop it replaced. There's absolutely zero bloatware on this, which again is not something I can say about other manufacturers. And it comes with Windows 11 Pro, which saved me from having to make that upgrade myself. But the con, the biggest one (and the likely contributor to my issues), is the memory (32GB) and that it's *not* upgradable. Which, I get, that's becoming the norm with these super light devices, trying to keep weight down, plus RAM prices are ridiculous right now. But it means the memory is constantly bottlenecking the device so that the CPU doesn't get to operate at its full benefit. Right now I've got a browser open (Brave, which aggressively sleeps tabs not in use), Rambox (emails), Beeper (a chat program), Actual Budget's desktop app, and EditPad ++. As you'll see in my photo, the CPU usage was relatively low, but the memory was basically pegged. That's not sustainable. Ultimately, it was more than I was willing to deal with, especially on a device I'm on constantly as a full-time graduate student. Maybe it'll work better for your usage?

Great products. Great company
Very Pleased with my new Geekom laptop. Right out of the box the setup was very easy to install upgrade to Windows 11. Loading my apps and personal info was also easy and without any hitches. Th e product itself is lightweight for a 16 inch laptop. =Key board feels great. I like the Geekom app which allows a virus scan and other features of the laptop .Good job Geekom. By the way I also own one of their mini PC's which has worked flawlessly for almost a year.

Discrepency between discription and product
The item description described this laptop as being 0.27 inches thick, in several places. This would be a significant advantage in my work, so I ordered. Upon arrival, laptop was 0.58 inches thick, about on par with all other laptops. I really liked everything else about the laptop (fit and finish, features, display), but without the form factor advantage it wasn't that much of an improvement over my current model. Returned.

Vengo de una HP Pavilion y la verdad no tiene nada que envidiar a otras marcas, la pantalla se ve excelente, es potente y liviana. Reinstale el sistema operativo con Windows 11 25H2 con los instructivos de la página oficial de Geekom, es todo automatizada la instalación sin aplicativos de terceros como antivirus y demás, listo para usar con los drivers oficiales. Tienen soporte vía chat y se encuentra bastante info del producto en la web oficial. La recomiendo si buscas un equipo liviano para trabajar y transportar a todos lados, te permite jugar eventualmente, lo probé con CS a 1080 y va bien. Punto a favor que se puede ampliar memoria y disco, cosa que las otras marcas no permiten.
