The tool is a serious benefit if your car has the spring type hose clamps. I have fought with spring type clamps for years, but this tool allows you to open the clamp, slide it into position and then release the tool with the clamp perfectly positioned. Decent quality manufacturing and materials. Design limits ease of use. Not enough leverage for stronger spring clamps. The lock holds really well, but it is difficult to release - usually takes two hands to release it, which makes it difficult when trying to position the clamp where you want it. I was pretty skeptical that this would be a useful tool. It looks kinda cheesy. Turns out it is completely awesome. Works very well and locks once squeezed and holds the hose clamps securely.
