Description

The GEARWRENCH combination wrenches are durable tools for most jobs. They are made from alloy steel with either a full polish or satin finish that resists rust & corrosion. The off-corner loading design on both ends provides a stronger grip on fasteners, reduces fastener rounding, and delivers up to 25% more torque to the fasteners. Sizes are stamped on the beam for quick, easy, & permanent identification. The box end is offset 15° for increased access to fasteners. Available in stubby & long pattern lengths and 6 & 12 point, the GEARWRENCH combination wrenches are a must have for every toolbox. From the Manufacturer GearWrench 81916 22-piece long pattern combination non-ratcheting wrench set - metric, includes sizes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 30 and 32 mm long pattern combination non-ratcheting wrenches. These wrenches offer extended reach for hard to get to fasteners. Box end part of wrench is offset for hand clearance. Open end of wrench has Surface Drive Plus™ which provides for stronger grip on fasteners, while reducing fastener rounding and delivers up to 25 percent more torque. GearWrench 81916 has a high polish, nickel chrome finish for long tool life and is made from the finest chrome vanadium steel for strength. Wrenches come in wrench roll for safe storage.

I use these every day multiple times a day. I bought this set specifically to use when I'm performing wheel alignments. It has all the sizes I need. The storage bag they come in is a nice material and so far has held up with no issues being rolled up and put away every day. If you're getting these for home use, and you have wall space, you can hang the bag on the wall for easier access. Or if you're a young tech looking for a quality set of combination wrenches, this is definitely a good choice. ... show more

I will start by saying I am not a big gear wrench fan at all, with that said, this is a nice set of large combo wrenches. I needed these for a project I was doing and did not have wrenches this big. I am not the kind of person who will buy a cheap tool to hopefully get him buy for one use, if I'm buying a tool I want a nice quality one that will last me forever, even if I only plan on using it once. I was looking at another brand but I came across these on a good enough sale it was hard to turn down. I went ahead and took the chance and I have been pleased with these. For the project I was doing I had some large bolt/nuts that had to be cranked down to about 120 ft lbs and small space to work in, I was able to get these in there and they had enough leverage to be able to get them torqued in the small awkward space. No damage to tool, no rounding off on the tool or bolts/nuts, no damage to finish. These are of good quality and for the price I paid they were definitely worth it. The roll up pouch is actually pretty decent quality as well, heavy enough material and rings to be able to stretch it tight and hang up and it stays in tact. Not usually one to recommend these guys but for this product I say go for it, I cant really think of one bad thing I could say about this set ... show more

I’m gonna say it. These are better than snap-on IMO. I’ve been a mechanic for 21 years now. These really are the best bang for the buck. Now I’m really rough on tools because I work a lot on agricultural equipment & this have stood up to the abuse. These are made by the apex tool group & if one breaks, just bring it to Home Depot & they will exchange it. I haven’t had any break yet with applying great force with breaker bars & everything else. The package these come in make it great to carry the set with you in a tractor or just keeping tools together. Wow.. I'm a shadetree mechanic and I typically buy middle of the road or budget tools (think Kobalt/Harbor Freight/etc.). I didn't want some crappy wrench set that skipped sizes, so I thought I'd try this GearWrench set since the price seemed fair for the number of wrenches, especially when compared to the competition. I thought at this price, I'd get "OK" wrenches. I was wrong. THESE THINGS ROCK! I'm not a professional technician -- I'm a shade-tree wanna-be and these are definitely the nicest tools in my toolbox now. Buy these now.. Even if you don't need wrenches, these are so pretty you could hang them on the wall as art. Just don't come crying to me when you wife throws a fit. ... show more

I bought these for changing out the leaf springs on our 2003 Ford van. Not many sets carry the sizes required. They did the job, although i would agree with other reviews that some sizes fit a bit loose. This might be an issue in situations requiring a great deal of torque.

This set works out perfectly for me. I acquired a set of Gearwrench wrenches awhile ago that only went up to 24mm. I've found that for tie rod jam nuts, some vehicles are bigger than 24mm. I bought this set to expand my original set and it saves me so much time not having to ask someone else for bigger wrenches. Plus I have the right size so my chances of stripping the jam nuts or whatever I'm working on have been greatly reduced. ... show more
