  • Excellent set, no regrets, would buy it again! 6 pieces better than Snap-on's 5pc set, and all for a fraction of the price!
Size: 6-piece kit Style: SAE
Excellent set! Very nice and shiny chrome, definitely can withstand major torque. The wrenches feel really nice in your hand, nice and heavy, but not overly so. Engraving is nice, could be a little deeper, but hey, it does the job and there are no issues with me not being able to clearly see the size. Just a comment. :) When I compared this set to my Snap-on metric flare nut set, the only difference I noted was in the smallest and largest wrenches. The smallest wrench is just that - small - about an inch shorter, and noticeably smaller in hand. The largest wrench actually compares very well, but it's only about half an inch shorter than Snap-ons, if that. However, this Gearwrench set is a 6 piece set, whereas Snap on's flare nut set is only 5 pieces, so you do the math. Overall, I would definitely buy this set again and skip the SAE by Snap-on. This set doesn't disappoint, very happy here!!! ... show more

  • Nice for the price, no real reason to spend more
Size: 6-piece kit Style: SAE
This is a good little set to add to your collection, at the right price, and not bad looking. I bought to replace very old Chinese mismatched junk. I don't use SAE all that often, mostly metric, so I couldn't really justify tool truck prices. And while these wrenches are also China/Taiwan, they are much nicer than your average Chinese counterpart. As with most Gearwrench stuff, it is very nice for overseas built tools. The machining is pretty nice, so the fit on lines in not horribly sloppy like other cheap line wrenches. It's not perfect, and certainly doesn't fit like a Snap On wrench, but this whole set cost less than one Snap On, so I'm ok with the fit. They fit better than some old Craftsman Chinese made line wrenches I had. Plus they look great, which is important to me. The nice smooth finish makes them easy to clean too. The sizes are clearly marked and easy to read. I wouldn't say there is any real negative thing about this set, for the price that is, but... They aren't very long. This is great for tight spaces, but leverage can be an issue. Consider adding the Gearwrench flex head line wrenches along with these. I bought the metric set at the same time. They are noticeably longer and flex at each end increasing their usefulness greatly. The offset of the heads is nice, and allows these wrenches to get in places more easily sometimes. Other times, the offset will render this wrench useless, or close to it. Once again, another reason to get the flex head set as well. All in all, great set for the money. ... show more

  • Great tool desighn for adaptability & good quality
Size: 5-piece kit Style: SAE
The repair job that I was doing on my vehicle , required that the removal of very very hard to reach reach bolts . With these wrenches I was able to get in there and remove them . The reason for my success was because the head of these wrenches pivot and allowed me better access and grasping ability . I compared them to other Flare Nut Wrench Sets and the quality of these was 5 stars in my opinion and was well worth the price. ... show more

  • solid, well made, good price
How i survived for so long without a decent set of flex head flares I've no idea. If you've ever tried to install a TH350 without them, you'll understand why I love them. I'm not a pro so I'll never buy snap-on but for the money, these are great. no play in the flex head, stays where you set it until you engage on the nut and precisely made so that there's no play on the nut itself so it doesn't cam out or strip the nut. ... show more
