  • Quality ratchet
Quality ratchet at an affordable price. Operates smoothly and will fit in places where a full size ratchet just won't fit. Well made.

  • Satisfied thus far.
Style: 2 Pc Flex Head Cushion Grip
I've been using this semi-professionally (Technical school 3 to 4 times a week usually) for about half a year now which feels long enough to me to reasonably comment on them. No problems with wear thus far, but it's not been truly long term though so I'd still consider it more 'no obvious and immediate issues'. I like them both allot, the small swing to engage really helps and it's nice and smooth, head is pretty thin too which is nice. As for the flex head personally I like the detents to hold it, yeah it's not as 'infinitely' adjustable, but it's probably less likely to get sloppy overtime and truthfully the increments it has are going to cover 99% of use cases anyway. When it pops in it really holds the angle, I much prefer it personally. I saw one guy claim you can't move it easily while working, but frankly he must have the weakest fingers know to man, the engagement is positive, but not heavy and it's trivial to pivot it between the positions while it's on a bolt. Handles I'm kinda conflicted on. The rubber is definitely is easier to get a solid hold on and slips less, but that goes hand in hand with it collecting gunk and being obviously less durable then chrome. Overall I think I still prefer the rubber though. This specific one is nicely shaped and seems to be holding up well so far to having been dunked in several types of fluids as well as the usual wear and tear. Both the ratchets in this set are pretty long, the 3/8th in particular, that can be good or bad depending on the task ,but the 3/8th is big enough to sometimes be obstructive, but on the other had that big handle gives you lots of leverage. Still if this was going to be like your one 3/8th ratchet I'd look at something a few inches shorter. The 1/4th is I'd say slightly longer then average too, but less so, honestly in it's case I mostly find it a benefit, quite a few 1/4th are so stubby I often find it hard to get much leverage on them in any kind of awkward position. Edit: Checking in with no over a year of daily professional use as well, still holding up fine though the 3/8th is missing a chunk of rubber now from when I stupidly got it pinned trying to use it on a idler. Consider that a point in it's favor though, it took a ton of force to get it back loose, but it kept on trucking. ... show more

I catch myself grabbing this rachet over my snap on the majority of the time.

  • Has technology gone too far?
Style: 2 Pc Flex Head Cushion Grip
You ever use something that just works? You wonder why nobody made the thing before? Or how you didn't already have the thing? This is the thing. I've only been using this set for a couple weeks, but these are my new go-to's. I've had a set of GearWrench reversible wrenches since almost right after they came out (also highly recommended), these are my first GearWrench ratchets. I have a set of Snappy Dual 80's and I wasn't sure what the extra tooth count would translate into. It's a lot closer than I expected. It's a lot smoother than I expected. Practically, it's getting the job done. Do you like getting the job done? Buy this set. Do you like value for money? Buy this set. Do you need to get into awkward spaces? Buy this set. Do you need to put torque on bolts? These handles are the perfect length to get a good leverage, you should buy this set. The only reservation I have about this set is I don't usually go for the "comfort handles" because they're not made of metal, and if they're not made of metal sooner or later the handle's gonna get bitten something instead of my knuckles and get chewed up. Although, incidentally, I haven't slammed my fingers into anything with these yet. That might be saying something. But so far so good, and hopefully I won't need to review GearWrench's warranty service. Considering the torque I've put on some of their wrenches and still not having experienced that, I'd say my chances are pretty good. ... show more

  • Love all my Gearwrench Rachets
The GearwrenchFlex Head Ratchet has proven to be another fantastic addition to my Gearwrench collection. I'm a big fan of their products, and this ratchet is no exception. While it's made in Taiwan, it doesn't compromise on quality or performance. The standout feature of this ratchet is its incredibly small engagement angle, which makes it an absolute savior in tight spaces. Whether I'm working under the hood of my car or tackling a home improvement project, this ratchet's flexibility and precision come to the rescue, allowing me to access and tighten fasteners in the most cramped and challenging spots. What I love most about GEARWRENCH tools is their commitment to innovation and quality, and this ratchet is a prime example. The 120XP design, with its fine-tooth gear mechanism, ensures that I can achieve precise torque application with minimal effort. It's a tool that not only simplifies my work but also adds a layer of convenience to my projects, proving that Gearwrench is a brand I can consistently rely on for high-quality tools that never fail to impress. ... show more
