Size: Mic w/ Sheet Music Stand
This stand has some great features. I didn't know what I was looking for, but when I saw this combo I knew it was it. First, it really simplifies the stage, one base instead of two. A challenge with boom stands is that they are easy to knock over - especially with heavy wireless mics. Having the music stand on this adds to a good center of gravity. Also the stand itself is heavier than most I've used, so that helps too. Didn't even know (realize) that it has spring arms to hold down the music in the wind - first use of this stand was outside, and they instantly became very helpful (and better looking than clothes pins, and easier than binder clips). The actual music stand part is pretty light weight, and could get bent if not stored properly, but for actual use that part does not need to be heavy duty. Oh, almost forgot about the one hand height adjustment - what an improvement! Well designed stand (at a reasonable price).

This is my favorite round base mic stand ever. Most round base stands are heavy and they don't have enough cushion on the bottom and after a few months they break. Yes they do. I have a few from Musicians Friend that just get decimated over time. This one is light enough to carry around (but heavy enough to not tip over), and they have these rubber padding below - genius! Make sure to read the instructions - you have to take off the nut at the end of the pole, then put in the pole and screw the nut in on the other side.

Do not Buy. After three uses the stand is useless. Problem, the bass of the clutch handle is cracked. I also agree with other reviews about the slack between the outer and inner tubbing that make up the mast. It does introduce noise into the microphone. And I’m using a Shure 58 Bata that generally does not pickup noise from handling the microphone, like other mic’s that I have used. IMPORTANT NOTE, If this stand is intended to be used in an open mic environment, where random users will step up to the mic, grab hold of the microphone and attempt to adjust the mic’s position by pulling or turning its position without releasing the clutch, there will be structural failure at the bass of the clutch.

I bought this to use during a meeting. We had other attendees dial in, and this mike easily picked up all the voices in the 50 person meeting room. I like that one can adjust the gain and pickup.
