GearAmerica's so-called "lifetime warranty" really caught me off guard. Read the package insert carefully. The "lifetime warranty" is NOT for the purchaser's life. Its NOT even for the normal expected service life of the product. The so-called "lifetime warranty" will "....CEASE WHEN THE WHEN THE PRODUCT HAS BEEN PHASED OUT". Really? So, the day GearAmerica "phases out" your product with a a new/different/replacement model (which could concieveably be next month or next year, or ???) your so-called "lifetime warranty" goes POOF! Now, to be fair, I bought the product because: (i) It had a "lifetime warranty"; and (ii) it looked well made and had excellent WLL specifications. So, I got 1/2 of what I thought I was getting. But I paid a premium price in order to get BOTH. Color me "dissappointed" in both GearAmerica and its so-called "lifetime warranty". Lesson learned. Buyer beware. ... show more
