I bought this control board because I did not know to unplug the stove before changing the oven light bulb. It shorts the board out. UNPLUG YOUR STOVE BEFORE CHANGING THE BULB!!! That being said this new board works perfectly on my older (20 some year old) GE stove. It only took about 30 minutes to change. The damaged board didnโ€™t have a white jumper wire, but thatโ€™s OK, it works just fine. The new board doesnโ€™t include the graphic faceplate, which is basically a plastic sticker. I was able to remove the old faceplate with a razor blade and hairdryer heat and reapply to the new board face. The โ€œpersonalityโ€ program sheet was included and was easy to set the correct number for my model. Once you set the correct number the display flashes an โ€œHdelโ€ code for about 1 minute, then displays 12:00, then you are ready to go. By the way, the interior oven light bulb I replaced was still fine, it did not burn out. Buy this board and save yourself some money doing it yourself. ... show more

After 1 year of Use the clear plastic around the circuit board all started cracking and the Control Board fell off, inside. Original lasted for years.

    • GEFGW - Works with errors
This was listed as the replacement for control board WB18X20153 for range model GE JB630RF2SS. Still giving me errors LF4 and H25. They go away in their own. Not sure if that means the condition is cleared or the logic figures things out or if my house is going to burn down in the next several months... But I tested it out with all day baking and the stove worked fine. I'll certainly update here if my house burns down, but so far, so good. ... show more
