Bought it in preparation to exhaust air from my two car garage in the summer months. Prior to knowing this fan existed (stumbled onto it by mistake) I initially bought the typical 12” galvanized shutter exhaust fan to pair it with an Inkbird temp and humidity controller but found out the stud spacing above my garage side door was only 14” wide. The 12” fan was 14.5” wide so I had to return it as it wouldn’t fit. While searching for a 10” model exhaust fan, I found this AC infinity with built in temp and humidity controller which works great and looks sleeker IMO to the galvanized fan! Installation was a breeze once you cut out the appropriate hole in the wall. Air Movement is great in level 5 (out of 10) for my 2 garage space (290 sq ft) with minimal noise. A fan speed of 10 is fairly loud like a huge box fan but does also move lots of air at that speed too. Will have to wait till summer to see how much cooler it gets and how much humidity it can exhaust outside. One minor negative is the sides and top of the shutter has gap of 1/4” or so. I had to use some different thickness of one sided foam tape to fill in the gaps while still allowing the shutters to open freely. Now the gaps are 1/8” or less. Overall, I’m happy with the initial purchase but wish they had a model with WiFi controllability. I will gladly pay $40 on top for that as an optional feature. Also, maybe have a programability mode to set schedule for days (M-Su) and hours when the fan can kick on/off will be cool too! Nice job AC Infinity ... show more

I have an 18x10 shed that has a storage area on one side and a built in workshop on the other. It was getting very hot in the summer. Luckily, the shed had gable vents on each side, so I cut out one of them and installed the vent in the opening. I wired everything and it worked like a charm. The controller/thermostat was confusing to set up but the phone app and Bluetooth are fantastic. I could set up all the settings from the app and the interface was very intuitive. So. I actually set up the temp and humidity settings for the fan to automatically come on directly from the app-super easy. And the fan is relatively quiet and adjusts speed as needed. Yes, you can hear it running, but it isn’t a nuisance and considering how much cooler my shed is, I don’t really even notice! In fact, when I was showing off the shed to my brother in law, he couldn’t believe how the shed wasn’t that hot, and then I showed him the fan! This fan is amazing. Bought it for the purpose of clearing the air out of my garage. I smoke and it does exactly what I needed. Clears 450 sq ft of space in 3 minutes or less. I cut a hole in my upper garage door panel and installed it and it’s not too heavy and does a great job. I have had this fan over 4 years and have had zero problems. Sometimes running it 24 hours a day for several days at a time. It’s gonna make noise. It’s a fan. It has ten settings and is loud in my opinion after setting 5. It’s worth the noise to do what it does. It will also reduce the temperature by a few degrees as well as the humidity by as much as 5-6 degrees. I have a more modern garage as a note but if you seal up around the doors and insulate the doors you’ll have great results. You’ll thank me later. ... show more

This works very well. Bought this to vent my very small attic space. I wanted to program it to run very early in the morning to bring cool air and then have it automatically start up after the attic space reached 110. Reading the programing in the provide manual was not making enough sense to me so I contacted customer service by phone. Amazingly I was able to talk to a human without waiting for hours or dealing with the endless questions of a damn computer droid.     • Make sure you have the connector from the fan to the controller in the correct way!

It is possible to put the plug from the fan to the controller in the wrong way. When you do this, the controller screen will NOT light up and the fan constantly runs at a very low speed. It appears that they attempted to square the plug off to prevent this, but it is still easily possible to put it in the wrong way. Once you reverse the plug, it works fine. This problem drove me crazy for weeks and I even ordered a replacement controller because I thought it was defective. This fan also appears to have issues at below freezing temperatures. The controller will display a very high temperature and run at max speed. As I am using this fan to care for livestock, this is a big concern. I simply turn it off when it gets cold, but I wish this wasn’t a problem. Another reviewer suggested using screening to cover the louvre gaps. I tried this, but found that dust quickly clogged up the screen and prevented the fan from ventilating properly. I ended up removing the screening. Otherwise, I really like the fan and the Bluetooth/iPhone app works great. I much prefer the app for adjusting the fan settings over the awkward controller buttons. I'll agree with other reviews. I've had one of these running in my crawlspace for 2 months now, and so far the quality seems to be matching the price point and I've really appreciated the features. I've been wrestling with crawlspace humidity concerns, and the programmable nature of this fan is quite helpful, along with the on-screen programming and even more the bluetooth interface. I didn't think I'd use that, but to be honest, it's simply easier to use for setup, configuration and reconfiguration. Furthermore, the charts for temp, humidity and fan status have been excellent for understanding the interactions between the fan and the environment. this has become as much a tool for me to use for problem-solving as it has a fan. As others have said, it's quiet until you get to the top third of its range, and then it still seems quiet for the amount of air it moves. mine is very well balanced, doesn't rattle, and just moves air. the blades look like the cheap metal blades found on anything else, but however they formed and balanced them seems to have more care/workmanship than the other offerings out there. ... show more

I purchased this T10 and the S10 for my attic. Install was easy. Add outlet, cut holes, add 1x4 shim, put fan in, attach with screws, add exterior trim and plug everything in. Ok so it's a process but let's talk about these fans. I've always purchased AC Infinity fans for cooling. They cost more but last for a very long time. Yes you can buy those other $50 shutter fans but plan on replacing them every 2 to 3 years. These AC Infinity fans will last for 46 years....8 hours a day, 30 days a month, 6 months a year during summer. I've have their smaller fans for over decade and still going strong. The T10 and S10 series are all metal housing for durability and they move some serious air. I have a 1464 sq ft attic at about 5100 cubic ft so with these two fans I get more than enough air flow. Before I installed these my attic was 140+. Yikes. I have the fans programed to come on at 100 at level 8 and the attic now maxes out at 110. I do have a 5 degree negative temp buffer set so the fans turn off at 95 degrees. This prevents the fans from turning off and on repeatedly. I'm not worried about negative pressure as I have 6 sq ft of attic vents for return air. Did I spend $300 on these two fans that I can control on my phone via wifi app? Yes I did. My house temp has dropped by 8 degrees which means my AC remains off and cuts down my electric bill. These fans will be paid off in 4 months with the savings. I highly recommend for those homes without proper attic ventilation. These fans are extremely efficient and are the perfect size. ... show more

I used this fan to directly replace my old non working hydronic garage heaters fan that burned out. 4 self tapping screws and it was solid to the sheet metal. I did strip the fan from the louvers although it would have fit this “Beacon Morris twin flow” hydronic heater with the louver shroud attached and louvers removed from the shroud. Very easy swap, and I’ve effectively added an aqua-stat to turn the fan on when the thermostat calls for heat. Once the pipe is hot the fan kicks right on… I used to just run the old fan on a switch which wasn’t ideal. I can also turn the fan on independently and circulate the air in my garage with no call for heat which is why I chose this. I will probably program to help regulate the humidity in the garage for the summer too.. This fan is much quieter than the fan it replaced. I run it on 6 or 7 for quiet operation. 10 gets a bit loud and really gets the air moving… AC infinity has great products that I have used and trust.. ... show more
