This car REALLY impressed me. I am a long time RC car enthusiast and have many expensive models - yet this model is my best cost-to-performance choice. For the money, there is nothing better. In my picture below, I set it up next to my Arrma Typhon grom, a much more expensive model, to demonstrate that it shares many favorable characteristics. I would recommend this car as a gift to anyone interested in the hobby - but don't let that stop you, it is plenty of fun as a cheap basher for even those experienced in the hobby. To begin this is my FIRST ever amazon review. Ive purchased many things off amazon, thousands of things I would imagine.... BUT! now this rc car, its every bit worth 75$ EVERY SINGLE BIT. I expected it to be a "toy" its not. The truck absolutely hauls a**. I am familiar with rc cars from the late 90s early 00s, they took 7ish hours to charge up, and you got a solid 10 minutes of fun.. this is different, the included charger charges the batteries from when the truck shuts off (low voltage i assume) to fully charged in about 2 hours. It comes with 2 batteries so you can cycle them if you really wanted to have almost continuous fun.. theres a couple negatives I see, first- on full charge and full speed, its FAST (kids are gonna need the slow speed setting) second, I struggled to get the steering centered even with the controls on the controller, and I find the steering "center" always has to be set every time you run it... neither of those are deal breakers at 75$ at least for me.. I would absolutely purchase again if I had a nice or nephew that was younger and wanted to get into rc. As for myself? I will be purchasing the 903a with brushless motor and upgraded shocks. Also lastly, of you think you need to go faster than 25-35mph you are crazy! Dont get caught up in the mph, this little car is hummin. ... show more

I purchased this car for my five-year-old son and he absolutely loves it. (Yes I can read it’s for 14 and up) Is it waterproof? Absolutely he drives it through puddles and we purchased it in the winter. It is snow proof too. Frankly, I’m not sure if it would function without being wet. We haven’t tried it. All joking aside, this is a hobby grade RC car that an advanced five-year-old can use. I’m tired of buying trash RCs that break the first day he uses them. I have him run it on the lower speed setting. He does pretty good with it. He has broken the rear wing off of it. He has cracked the front hood. (It is winter and plastic is brittle when it’s below freezing. The bumpers are still intact and the car works fine. If you are a hard-core racer professional RC wizard you won’t like the car. The suspension isn’t good. The steering is OK. If you’re looking for an inexpensive car that can really take some good abuse, so far it seems great. It is nice that it was under $100 and that you can purchase parts to fix it. ... show more

I got this for my seven-year-old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loved it. Super easy to set up super easy to control and nice and quick. Has two settings, fast and even faster. This made me feel like I was a kid again. With two batteries, you don’t need to worry about battery life at all.
