We Love It!!

We love it! It has a lot more power than the our old one. We were hesitant to switch brands, but this one came in solid white, including the white interior that actually shows if it needs to be cleaned, unlike similar newer models. If you like to cook frozen veggies, this one does it perfectly! Just press the vegetable button twice and the sensors do the rest. Our old one would complete the frozen veggie cycle and still need additional time. Also, the child locks are simple to disengage. Very pleased with this microwave oven!

The Best Microwave I Could Find for the Price

I really like this GE microwave. After two days of searching, I rested on the GE, because it had all of the features I was looking for. The size, wattage, ease of operation, price, and look checked all of the boxes for me. We've had a built-in GE microwave for over 15 years that never needed servicing up until now, which speaks of the quality and durability of their machines. The button keypad is intuitive to use and easy to clean. I like that setting the clock is a quick setup unlike other microwaves I've dealt with in the past. The 1200 watt power level heats food quickly as one would expect. The functionality of the microwave is straightforward with no guessing of how to operate it. The amount of room within the heating compartment offers plenty of space for anything my family and I can throw at it. Overall: The microwave is very attractive and does a great job of heating up food.

I've owned 3 of these in 12 years, the last one (the purchase tied to this review) only lasted 9 months before stopping heating. I'm guessing it's the magnetron, but I'm not investing and time or money in this lemon. When it works, it's fine, looks nice, heats food. Just dies too frequently.

Look no further - this one is perfect!

This is the best microwave possible. My last one from a different manufacturer had what looked like metallic paint and pieces of it would fall off into the food and create a huge mess as well. This one has the nice coating that lasts forever. Not sure why most brands switched to the other painted on surface and now the one that works like this one, is so hard to find, but likely they make more money with the other surface and also you have to buy them more often. The size of this microwave is just perfect and large capacity. It is easy to use. It is easy to disable the stupid child lock they are now required by law to put in.

minor issue

Minor issue noted. Box arrived in good condition. no damage noted on the microwave. After setting it in desired place and opening the door, the left hand door plastic frame would catch on the metal housing about 4 inches from the bottom corner and make a popping noise. I fixed it by inserting a thin knife blade between the housing and door frame when opening the door. This slightly increased the door gap. Better quality control should have caught this. Almost identical to the 14 year old GE microwave that we replaced. Hope it lasts as long

Great microwave!

This thing is big enough to fit a 10-15 lb turkey in it. I wouldn’t actually do that, but I’m giving you an idea of its internal size/dimensions. It’s also quite powerful, so be careful when you first get this thing. What used to take 2:00 minutes will now happen in about 45 seconds. This of course depends on how many watts you had before, but again I’m just trying to give an idea about how it works. It is pretty quiet. It’s a bit heavy. The option to turn off the child lock is quite simple. Just use a screwdriver, or your fingernail if you have strong nails, and turn it to the “off” position. That’s it, it’s done. As far as durability goes, it’s been working well for me for over a month. Durability I cannot speak on until I’ve had it longer, but in my experience in life, if something electronic works when you plug it in, it will most likely last for a long time. Like 10 years or so in my experience. the value is decent considering how large and powerful it is. And as you can see from the photos, I think it looks nice. I bought all new appliances this year, and I bought everything in black/stainless steel. I’m glad I did because everything looks nice and sleek now. If you need a microwave, and have a large family, or want to cook/reheat large items, then this microwave is a great option.
