This cools my room really well. It is a little heavy like most window ACs but this is good for the price. I have been using this for the last 3 NY summer and it stills works great. It definitely is a little noisy though.

I was very excited to get this, as my bedroom was beginning to feel like an oven. I bought it on a Friday morning and it came to me by Sunday evening. It was very easy to install. It cooled down my room very quickly. In fact I leave it on low because my room got so cold. The only complain I have is that it is quite noisy. Sometimes it sounds like there is something stuck inside of it rattling against the fan. Sometimes it makes this noise almost like a “boom” and it scared and wakes me from my sleep. I don’t know if maybe I have slightly defective one or if they are all like this. ... show more

This little machine is doing exactly what GE electronics do. I had a similar one that was about to hit its 10 year mark and figured I'd get a new one. I can the old one worked great and this one does exactly the same in the 12x12 room we use it in. The only thing that was more flimsy was the filter. It seems like it could break easy if you pull it out wrong or angle it while pushing it back in. Keeps me cool and noise level is about what you expect (its not totally silent but not overly loud) you will hear it. ... show more
