Overall a great design and look. Relatively easy to install. On my 2017 GMC Sierra, the design of the truck bed rails would not allow the clamp to be placed close to the tailgate. As a result, the rear of the bed cover does not lie exactly flush. A differently designed clamp would work though.

Update: I was in contact with amazon customer service about the dent in my cover they made me exceptionally happy with their resolution they went above and beyond what I was hoping for. Thanks Amazon for the help. Super happy with the cover, box came to my house at 6:15am and it was fully installed by 8am, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. Unfortunately the box came pretty beat up (wish I had taken a picture) but I figured let’s see what we got inside, looked as though the packaging had protected the cover from any main damages at first. Install went pretty smoothly no unforeseen complications until I got to dropping the last panel and noticed it was lifted and unable to sit flush (see pic 1) due to the design of my 2014 Silverado. The instructions say to place the last clamp 6” from tail gate but it’s a bit of a pain do to the beds design especially with the OEM bed liner. It took a bit of massaging but eventually I got it as close as possible to the tailgate and I’m happy with how it sits (see pic 2) but as I’m wrapping up and putting the cab bumper cushions on and the locking bar I opened the second to first panel from the van and see a significant dent so much that it exposes the guts of the cover (see pic 3). I’ll be in contact with Amazon hopefully getting a few dollars back since they’re selling one with damage for a little less. Hope this was helpful remember don’t snug the brackets too tight or it’ll cause some issues during install. Here’s the final product (see pic 4) ... show more

I purchased the G30461 recoil truck bed cover for a 2018 silverado 1500. The item fits well enough and it works. The installation was much more difficult than I anticipated because of the poor threading on the parts. Getting the screws through required extra "pressure" (wording from the install guide) to get started, but some would never go through. On the item I received the end cap set screw is extremely tiny and would never thread in. Also, the nylon screws to align the rails go through machined metal threads. So, if there are any imperfections (which there are), the nylon screw snags and you quickly strip the head. This basically makes that part useless. Additionally the product demo shows a strap to pull on the side to push/pull the top, but my unit does not have this. I have to pull a cord in the middle to release it and push it back. Which means I have to get into the bed to adjust. Not huge, but not what helped sell me the product. ... show more

Love the look and material it’s made from , feels like my garage door. With my drop in bed liner rails don’t come flush with front of bed leaving a space where water gets in the bed. Seal doesn’t lay flat to prevent the water getting in. Also had to drill a hole thru my bed liner to get the bolt thru the stake pocket. Aside from the leaking problem I like it. ... show more

Installed this on my truck awhile back and love the look and all but I still get some moisture in it!!! It doesnt get alot of water in but there is wet spots along the side in some areas where you can tell water got in.

UPDATE: After 2 years this is still the best accessory I have bought for my truck. I live in Michigan and get snow on it all the time and use a shovel to get the snow off. I was worried about scratches but no scratches for me. It’s super easy to adjust and I’ve actually taken it on an off a few times when you need it completely out of the way and it fits in your backseat. Out of all the products I have had and issues I have had this thing is perfect. Nothing to complain about and if you are on the fence the money you save in gas mileage should help make the decision easier. I can’t believe people spend twice as much for a worse product. Super easy install with a little help from YouTube. Works great at keeping water out and easy to use along with being a hard cover it clearly looks like a hardcover which is nice for protection.
