  • These are really great quality
Style: Single Section Boom Arm
You would think that these don't look like the oldie goldie mic stands with chromed metal rods and metal hinge material/hefty weights on the end. You might order them anyway, thinking the price is right and how bad can they be? I did. But I've been impressed in the couple of months I've used these. I'm hanging Shure SM58 mics on them and they're solid! The friction is VERY adjustable. They don't need to be honked on with a pair of pliers like the old metal ones had to be sometimes. The wire management clips are great. The price is right. I love 'em! ... show more

  • What I needed.

  • Works fine with one minor disappointment
Style: Single Section Boom Arm
We have a lot of microphone stands in the Thick and Mystic recording studio. Recently I needed an additional boom, so I found this. It's actually a good little boom and I have no problem recommending it. However, it is deceiving. I picked this boom primarily because it looked like it had a slightly larger counterweight than others. But the counterweight on this boom is nothing more than a piece of rubber - so their really isn't any counterweight, it's more for looks. Fortunately I was able to repurpose another boom and get it all to work for our specific needs. If you need something will any sort of counter weight, other than the arm itself, this may not work for you. ... show more

  • Should I have bought this Sweetwater instead? Hmmm
Style: Telescoping Boom Arm
I was going to get this product from Sweetwater, where I usually buy my music accessories. Then my birthday rolled around, and I got a nice Amazon gift card. So I bought a whole bunch of stuff, and this was one of the gifts. Yay me. I opened the box and set it up, but I noticed two things. Firstly, there was no product literature on how to set it up. Second, the UPC sticker as shown looked like someone tried to rip it off the bar. Nothing wrong with this, but it seems a little fishy to me. I'm writing my review here to see if the vendor will explain. IF I don't hear from anyone, I will just call Amazon and see what the deal is. Good product otherwise, but you know, it's Amazon. Just need to make sure it's not a returned product that was resold, right? ... show more

  • Works for me
Style: Telescoping Boom Arm
Does what I wanted it to do when doing my barstool seated solo gigs. Keeps the passers by from bumping the extended tail and the microphone being jam in the face. Well built for its price range. For added stability make sure one leg of stand is facing you. Universal stand fit.
