Replaced the original GM thermostat with this thermostat, due to reviews on AC-Delco replacement thermostats failing prematurely, I went with this Gates, but it actually is a Motorad brand made in Israel. I've used Motorad thermostats in many engines with no sudden failures, if anything I've changed them out only because I was doing cooling system maintenance with hose, clamps, water pump and coolant changeout and if it had a lot of age and mileage on the thermostat. ... show more
