This thermostat is the correct unit for a 2006 4.6l Northstar V8; my Buick Lucerne did not overheat during the extended test drive moments ago. Outside temperature is 93F and we ran the AC full blast in stop and go traffic.

    • 198 Degree F not 180. Junk. Lasted 9 months. Counterfeit?
"OE TYPE" = almost like brand name but not. Bought name brand for quality and think I got scammed as it's in centigrade. A real Gates 33808 is 180 degree thermostat this one says 92C and 18.05. 92 C is 198 degrees F. Failed close 8 months after installation nearly cost me an engine.
