  • Warmth, quality, easy of assembly
Bought this for my outdoor fur babies. They went right in. Momma and her two little babies can have a warm place to sleep when it gets cold.
Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2024 by The Amazon driver placed my item behind the chair on my porch out of view from the street. I really appreciated that!😊

  • Toasty warm
I have two of these bc my outdoor cats fought over the first one. Even without adding a bed inside it's pretty warm for them. But I recommend putting a blanket or bed inside when it's below 50. I had to train them to walk inside bc the flaps don't push in easily. I gradually have added the flaps where they will eventually close. Putting both together has added extra comfort and heat. One thing I don't like is the Velcro is hard to navigate. It's strong but when I pulled it apart on one side to assemble it ripped the stitching. Once you get the cover on it is pretty tight sealed which makes it a bit hard to close it completely on the bottom at first. Once you do though it is really solid and protective. I def rec getting this for porches and not directly on the grass when raining bc the height isn't that much. But overall great product! ... show more

  • Easy assembly, sturdy, smaller than pictures imply
Really like this heated cathouse. Went together very quickly (< 5 min), sturdy (could support 2-3 cats sitting on top). It is very helpful that the heating pad has a removable, washable cover. My only concern is that it is smaller than depicted; I am sure the stated measurements are correct but the pictures are somewhat misleading. ... show more

  • Good Economical Option
OK, so this is basically a wire animal crate with a fitted waterproof cover, and a warming pad. Simple, but it does the job. Honestly, it’s cheaper to buy it this way than to buy all the individual components, which I thought about doing. We live in Indiana with two outdoor cats, and I was worried about them freezing once the cold weather hit. This works really well, and the cats love it. Super easy to set up. Took all of five minutes. We haven’t had this long, so can’t speak to durability, but we’ll see. Warning to those with more than one cat though: our cats are good friends, and have been together since birth, but they absolutely refused to share this cat house. We ended up having to buy a second one, and put them side-by-side with the center door flaps removed to make a cat “condo” of sorts. It was 17° and lightly snowing this morning when I got up, and found one cat happily inside each house. They came out to eat breakfast and went right back in. Point being, I definitely recommend this product if you don’t want to invest in a more expensive, permanent cat house. ... show more

  • Sturdy, not insulated well
I had an elderly neighbor pass away several months ago and somewhere along the lines her cat got left behind to fend for itself and ended up living on my back porch (she's actually a relatively friendly cat so it's not a big deal). The porch is covered on three sides but with winter coming I had the choice to give her shelter or send her to the local humane society/animal rescue; unfortunately all the shelters are full and not accepting any new animals. Bringing her in the house is not an option because I have an indoor cat that is an only child and not at all interested in changing that situation. I looked around a little and this outdoor cat house seemed like a good choice. It's is a decent sized, well made shelter for outdoor cats. Ridiculously easy to assemble with a sturdy framework. Whoever thought of the two doors set up opposite each other is a genius, it's perfect for skittish outdoor cats that are wary of traps. I'm still a little "iffy" on the heating pad, there hasn't been any problems so far and it's a mature cat (no teething or anything) so it's probably okay... It's just the idea of having something like that plugged in on my porch and sitting so close to the ground. The insulation on the cat house is not great but the winters here aren't usually too awfully severe so it should be okay. Definitely better than nothing for sure! I'm still a little on the fence with this and probably will be until the first good snowfall. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who lives in areas with milder winters - probably not suitable for harsh winter areas unless it's going to be set up in a garage or out building of some sort. ... show more

  • Perfect for Strays
Originally purchased this cat house because we had some dumped cats and kittens at our home. Perfect for the incredibly cold weather and you can adjust the door to be as open or closed as you want. Has held up well for 2 months now in the sometimes below freezing temperatures. Would definitely purchase again. ... show more

  • Great way to keep cats out of the cold!
Purchased a second one because our three cats were a little cramped in the first one. Love these for the winter! Easy to set up.

  • Fabric casing does not line up
Very easy to assemble, sturdy, heating element works. The problem is the fabric casing, the door cut outs do not line up with the door cut outs in the metal frame. One matches up thankfully.so it is usable, but the other is blocked by the metal framing. I tried customer service but was told it was handle by Amazon and Amazon only allowed free return and refund instead of part replacement, which I don't honestly feel like dealing with. Hopefully the strays won't mind only one entrance/exit point. ... show more
