We purchased this for a couple strays that we feed. We live in the Northeast where it gets pretty cold and these lived up to the description. The cats loved them and it seemed to keep them toasty on cold, snowy days. It can fit two cats but we found each cat liked their own. It comes with a clear shield that Velcro’s at the opening to keep the elements from sneaking in. The waterproof covering that fits over the cage lasted well and had no holes or leaks throughout the winter. We took the heating pads out and replaced them with comfy padding for the warmer months. This was easy to put together and made us feel happy that the cats were safe and warm.

My female stray loves this home. I added thermal insulation to the sides to keep it more snug. However, the heat pad seems to have stopped working which makes me sad. I don't see where I can purchase a replacement for it.

The media could not be loaded. Cats love it! I have three feral cats that eat in my barn. During the winter I have been leaving them a heating pad to sit on. They are super skittish and will not come around humans at all. The only way we ever see these cats is on our camera that we have in the barn. They come in at night to eat and then they leave. They live under the house in our other property we have next door that we are renovating. Lately we have two possums that have made their way in as well. I originally had one barn cat that I was feeding. And he has been eating in the barn for four years now. We’ve tried to trap him and he’s impossible. Then two others started showing up about a year ago. They don’t come as often but this time of year I seem to catch them on the camera a bit more. None of these cats will enter a live trap. Which makes them impossible to catch. So I was a little weary that any of them would use this house. Since they would be going into a closed structure. But they absolutely love it! It’s first come first serve whoever gets there first gets to sit in it all night. These cats and the possums don’t seem to fight. They just take turns. I left the front window off the front of this, because I didn’t think they’d enter it if it had the clear curtain on the front. I might try the curtain now that they are used to it….. It may deter the possums from going in there. I prefer to just be feeding one cat in there. I would recommend this cage. It is easy enough to clean. It’s just a cage with the liner on the outside. And heated pad on the bottom. One of these three cats has sprayed in the cat house. It stunk sooo bad! Good part is everything can be watched and put back on easily. I’m hoping if they get used to going in here I can eventually trick them into a live trap. Finger crossed! In the meantime it makes me happy they have a warm space. They will roll around and play with the toys I left inside. But they run as fast as they can if we ever open the barn door and come in. Scaredy cats! They have no idea the good life they could be having.

Can’t get my cats to come in the house sometime as both my cats are outdoor and indoor cats. I bought this for my back patio. So, when they come back and if I am sleeping , they will have a warm place to stay until the morning.

Our cats love it but never sleep in it 😀. Maybe it’s because they have a cat door to come in as they please. Very practical and easy to pop together. Like less than 10 minutes to assemble. If you need a warming house for your cats this does the trick at a reasonable price. Assemble plug in and your good to go.

I got this for our indoor (previously an outdoor) cat that refuses to use a litter box and only poops outside. Since he can’t be in all night while we sleep he goes outside. He’s been an outdoor cat until we got him so I’m sure he’ll appreciate it but it’s just meh. There are plenty of places for him to go to stay out of the rain and wind including our garage and covered porch (which is where this is located) but I was mostly buying for the heat element. I’ve had it plugged in for 10 hours now and you can barely feel any heat coming off of it. If you were already cold it might register a little bit but with the winters in Michigan I doubt it’ll do anything to aid in staying warm so I am on the hunt again for a better heat option.
